Rolinda Bonz
QUOTE (LerxstLady @ Sep 25 2004, 03:44 PM) Here are a couple I've written that aren't so much ABOUT the boys as inspired by them or thier music in some way: UNTITLED Some days the pass is far to wide, the razor's edge too keen To turn around and face the fear of future fates unseen No more running, no more flight, the battle will begin Against a monster deep inside, the enemy within A weapon made of fear and rage to batter at the soul The fear of hope, a rage at fate begin to take control Then darker, darker spiral down, the way out is so far Even for the dreamer who has learned to steer by stars ---------------------------------- UNDONE Fingers ache to touch the fire A heart is pierced by frozen spire echoes sound - a haunted choir A soul cut off from it's desire Muted, trapped, and beaten down No way out has yet been found Only distance all around To this rock my soul is bound Mimicking what is observed In twisting patterns most absurd As understanding is disturbed What is said is not what's heard Like treasure under glass enshrined Passions dim and passions shine Yet I cannot touch what there I find I hear it only in my mind I need to share your simple grace the smile that plays upon your face But the barricades remain in place... Far out
Rolinda Bonz
QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Sep 27 2004, 03:30 AM) I'm rather proud of my debut in this thread, but there is a special way in which it should be read. Just take the first letter of every line, and read them going down, then the answer you'll find. Well done!
Rolinda Bonz
QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Sep 28 2004, 12:14 PM) Lately a quite welcome trend has emerged upon this board, a thread of verse intended to inspire the posting hoard. Knees are bent in homage to Hudson's poetess ever rapt in wordplay, each effort a success. Secretely of course, it's a ploy that she will use, in making Mr Lee an offer he certaintly can't refuse. Doubtless when he reads her verse, he certainly will succomb, effortlessly then, our laureate will have him under her thumb. Many here will wonder "Of whom does he speak?", all I'll say is closely look if the truth is what you seek. In verse, as in all parts of life, the answers are concealed, don't hesitate to investigate, all will be revealed. Endless is the search, just like her ardent love for Geddy, never giving up her quest, our heroine's always ready. Damn, yer good!
Rolinda Bonz
QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Sep 29 2004, 11:32 PM) Generous amounts of accolades we have herein Elevating my spirit from within Doggedly pursuing my one true desire Do I dare name what lights that fire? Yet I dont think I need bring light upon his name Love shines brighter than a bonfire's flame Eternal grace bespoken through hands and voice Elevates my soul, and wills my heart to rejoice ...how was that Madra? The more you eat, the more you fart. What is the big fascination with men and farting??? CuervosMan, could you explain this please??? I believe we just had this conversation... Flatulence is something men have in abundance although we're always shifting the blame. Rather than owning up, we just run and hide, that's better than facing the shame. Yer killin me!!! But are you and I alone on the thread, have we frightened the others away???? Yes I've waited too long to enter this fray Yet the urge to be rhymin one can't take away So allow me to rant and please let me rave It's what I do best, whenever I'm brave But first please folks, I need to give props To those who started all this, you folks are the tops You've inspired me again and for that you will curse For from my old keyboard I bring forth new verse So look out below and watch from above The BSG is rhymin' and sending out love To good folks out there, it takes all sorts And to all the rest, well just eat my shorts Very nice! As much of a coincidence as that seems, I wonder if there are other female fans with big brother fans. Big bothers are the kewlest! Hmm...an interesting question...perhaps we should inquire....? madra sneachta
I've not been here lately to waffle in rhyme, and for that I feel remorseful. Slaine's last anagram's taking up all my time, and to solve it I must be resourceful. There's much in my outbox I have to complete, so much that I have to do. But soon I'll be back with some rhymes that are neat, once I finish my Cygnus Book Two. That thread has also been consigned to Page Two, but hopefully it won't be for long. I've an insane idea for something to do, to make Hemispheres a totally new song. In the meantime, LSM, Barney and AGP, and Rolinda, our new rhyming friend. Just keep hanging on and soon you will see, this'll be the Forum's biggest thread in the end.
madra sneachta
QUOTE (Singularity @ Nov 6 2004, 08:19 PM) There is one breast in the porridge There is double in the peas For the surgeon wasn't quite right And bloke was Geddy Lee The trouble with the breakfast, although the cook's convinced he's right. Is that the oats are thin and weedy, and the milk just tastes like sh*te The oats aren't fit for consumption, though the porridge is already made. And the milk's gone sour and lumpy, it should have been kept in the shade. So the diners called the manager, and demanded Cheerios. They said the cook's job should be terminated, and they won't be back 'til he goes. No there's no more horrible porridge, lump milk or mouldy bread. And the people looking for breakfast have gone.... to Mc Donald's.... insteaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaead.......

LakesideMaiden
QUOTE (Singularity @ Nov 6 2004, 03:19 PM) There is one breast in the porridge There is double in the peas For the surgeon wasn't quite right And bloke was Geddy Lee You know dear Singularity, I do believe you're right That surgery did go awry that cold and windy night and, lo, that surgeon was that one they fondly call Dirk The porridge that he ate had a not very pleasing quirk It seemed to make his stomach dance in circles while he stitched This does not make for even seams for more than once his hands did slip! Had someone brought him something else, of a brothier variety Yes, SOUP would probably have made a better time of this difficult surgery

The Notorious B.S.G.
Now please dear maiden, don't be perplexed And don't be confused, and don't ya be vexed The muse comes and goes, as we all well know It cannot be forced, so we go with the flow Until one fine day we just let it out And find a high place to scream, yell, and shout Hey all ya dudes, and hey gourgeous chicks I'm rhyming again, and getting my kicks While pondering football, of the college type Not quite NFL, never mind my gripe I 'spose I'm just mad, no Florida squad Is in the top ten, and it sure is odd This powerhouse place, home to football greats While still the best of all football states... Will never this year be BCS champs Better luck next year, when new training camps Will start once again, and make y'all see That Florida teams are good as can be And as they rampage and as they strike fear They make y'all wish that you did live here

My Dominion, eh? I kinda like the sound of that....hehehe Phenominal Cosmic Powers......itty bitty living space Seriously, though, thanks Madra If I'm the Queen, ur totally the King dude! With BSG & barney_rebel coming up as like, the court jesters lol (just kidding guys ) And nice job with the 2112 reference - still has to be one of my all time favorites! Now! What the hell am I doing, responding to this in non-rhyming verse! What the hell is wrong with me? Is it some kind of curse? ***** LakesideMaiden has found her way To gracing Geddy's web page everyday Perhaps, she had thought, I can catch his eye Through generous acts that I just may try And so she persued a link she had found Off Rocktheinternet.com, soon she was Ged-bound She knew that she couldnt give up her compact disc For she loved it too much to be Headache-less So she searched and she searched, until a copy she cornered of My Favourite Headache, off the Internet she ordered She brought it down to the library the very next day* And said, 'this is sure to bring pleasure to all those that play' To finish this story with a nice little end I will tell you how Lakeside feels, I shall not have to pretend With a great feeling in my soul and love in my heart I've done some good for my Ged ; and my old town great music to impart *of course, after recieving it....who gets something right after they order it online?
