Grew up a Kiss fan...coverted to Rush around 79... here's the thing...battles have ensued between fanbases...who is better?... whose fans are better..?... etc...well....

 

Its 1979 ....again...going into 1980.... Kiss does Dynasty...without basically 2 founding members for crissake...Criss never plays a note......Rush drops Permanent Waves...heralding an entirely new era....no comparison....the "opener" kills the headliner.....Rush...much greater than Kiss....

Kiss is for kids, simple as that. They were everything until I grew out of them at 8 or 9 years old.

 

I still have all my brother's old albums up to Alive II. I could easily put one on and enjoy Rocket Ride or Dr Love. Rarely do though.

 

I loved 'I was made for loving you' when disco was big. (Hey I was just a child!). The song is still a time machine for me. (Even though I'm 45 and my email is discosucks@.. ;) )

 

they're kinda like the Monkees in that they're not really a band anyway.. they were a business based on comic characters and the Monkees were a tv show..

Well my friend! It's perfect!!!! I'm still a kid!!! I will never grow up!!! I was married to Wendy, I am Peter Pan, the little boy who never grew up! i'm that little annoying asshole in the GEICO commercial! LOL!

 

I will never forget getting KISS "DESTROYER" under my white flocked Christmas tree in like 1976. IT BLEW MY FUKKING MIND.

I am older but my brain is the same.

 

Sadly my little nimble, immature, feeble mind fell in love with a band called Rush as well.

60 times later since 1984 I am still the same insane, insipid silly, stupid, schoolboy.
