Moose, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Hummingbirds and all kinds of other birds. No bears which is surprising. Steelhead and Cutthroat trout. Clams, Crabs and Eels. Signs of Wolves. Otters and Seals. My friends have most of the photos of the trip, I will post some when I get them.Are they relatively harmless like the black bears, or are they a true concern?That makes me laugh so hard...sharkchick you're too much. You should have asked "are they relatively harmless like Koala Bears"? I did say RELATIVELY harmless! I wouldn't go up and pet one or get between a mother and cub or anything. But black bears have a pretty even temperament and aren't known for unprovoked attacks. troutman Posted May 14, 2015 Author Share Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) This is Eagle's Roost Park in the town of Petersburg, Its right up the road from the hotel. I went there to take photos of Bald Eagles that hang out . I was surprised that none were there. I have counted at least fifty of them at one time. It sits right across from the seafood processing plant. Here are a couple of historical plaques. The town is called "Little Norway".
