great pics. Looks like you had a wonderful time. :envy:

It was,

Like I posted before. It wasn't so much of how many fish I caught. It was just going back to this special place. There are many photos that my friends have. I will post them when I receive them. :D

I survived!! :D

Welcome back! So glad to see you around here again. Hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourself!

Thanks,

It was so cool!! :ebert:

Glad you enjoyed yourself! What sorts of animals did you see?

Thanks,

Lets see. Moose, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Hummingbirds and all kinds of other birds. No bears which is surprising. Steelhead and Cutthroat trout. Clams, Crabs and Eels. Signs of Wolves. Otters and Seals.

My friends have most of the photos of the trip,

I will post some when I get them.

Are they relatively harmless like the black bears, or are they a true concern?

That makes me laugh so hard...sharkchick you're too much.

You should have asked "are they relatively harmless like Koala Bears"?

No,

That was the last thing I was thinking of. :P I will research the mushroom thing for next year's trip.

I did say RELATIVELY harmless! I wouldn't go up and pet one or get between a mother and cub or anything. But black bears have a pretty even temperament and aren't known for unprovoked attacks. (Although I do know that one doesn't go into the backcountry unarmed.)

Troutman, I can't see one picture so I will just use my vivid imagination!

Which one?

I will post it again.

I can't see any of them. Never used to have this trouble here, but it started about six weeks or so ago.

This is Eagle's Roost Park in the town of Petersburg,

Its right up the road from the hotel. I went there to take photos of Bald Eagles that hang out . I was surprised that none were there. I have counted at least fifty of them at one time. It sits right across from the seafood processing plant. Here are a couple of historical plaques. The town is called "Little Norway". The town was bacically started by Norwegians who migrated there back in the day.

Not sure why,

Wonder if there is some type of setting in your profile that can help you.

You don't have any web filtering on, do you? photobucket is often blocked by some of those products and you might have to add photobucket to a "safe" list

Sounds about right,

They are photos from photobucket.
