This was actually somewhat difficult. In making my picks I had to try to weigh (1) the condition of Geddy's voice and how it would impact the groups performance of some of the above songs (2) my desire to hear certain songs live that have never been played live (3) my desire to hear some songs live which were last played live many years ago and which accordingly I have never actually experienced in person.

 

I will start with the 3'rd category 1'st. This was easy category to pick from as only 2 songs in the category really attracted my interest. They were "We Hold On" and "Carve Away the Stone". The first 5 songs in the category sort of attracted my interest but not as much. Went with "Carve Away the Stone".

 

Moved on to the 1'st category next. Just about anything off FBN, 2112 or AFTK was worthy of serious consideration. I finally voted for "Something 4 Nothing" - although I have strong doubts as to Geddy's ability to pull it off at this point. Still, if he could, that would be the one I would like to hear.

 

Moved on to the 2'nd category next. I had saved this one for last since it was the hardest category to pick from. There is just a ton of songs in this category I would like to hear live!! Basically every song listed from HYF, Presto, Counterparts (except Double Agent) plus a number of the other songs all were worthy of serious consideration.

 

Finally went with "Afterimage"

 

This left me with 2 more songs I could pick from any category so, from category #2 I picked "Everyday Glory" and "Alien Shore". "The Speed of Love" would be the next pick if I could have one.

 

To tell the truth, I could have picked all 5 songs from category #2 but I really made an effort to pick at least 1 from each of the other categories. Frankly, I could make an entire set list between the first 2 categories and still have songs that I would like to hear left over but thats what it is with Rush - so many great songs.
