The grass is dormant. The mountains are the Sierra Nevada, and just to my right you can see the ski runs of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. Where I live you can golf and ski on the same day. :)I may have delivered golf carts to that golf course 6 or 7 years ago. Is that on Jack Rabbit road? It was out of route, but I took the 207 up through those mountains just to say I saw Lake Tahoe. Awesome view!

Every winter, bald eagles gather to feed on the afterbirth of the calves. My sister saved her child's placenta and ate it, too, but that is another story. I've always admired how the snowpack, up north, allows everyone to have pristine yards in the summer. I think people in Ohio mow their yards several times per week.

I can remember a few times when I had to mow my grass twice in one week. Usually it's just once a week though in the middle of summer. Thankfully now I have a lawn service and I don't have to worry about it. Pushing a mower kills me up these hills in Pittsburgh and my back is crap.
