Very cool Sean. Any fiddleheads?

I take requests, so I made a note of that.

I was posting these in the spam thread but they chased me out —told me to start my own damned thread. The nerve. . .

sweet. Man in a few weeks black trumpet mushrooms will pop up here along with morels. I'm pumped. Cool stuff dude

Monday

It's St. Patrick's Day, and you probably thought we would take a look at some clover plants. Wrong! I would never torture you with something so mundane. Today is dedicated to Welwitschia mirabilis, an oddity native to Angola and Namibia. Individual plants often live more than a thousand years, and produce a single pair of leaves which continue to grow for the life of the plant.

Not only have I never eaten them, I doubt I've ever seen them (of course, I've never looked for them). I'll have to do some research.

I wonder if they always look surprised, or if they only look surprised when someone's taking a photo of them

Great topic, Substance!

What about some agavae? They are my favourites. We have some great agave here.

Not an official entry, but I am taking time out of my not so busy schedule to post these just for you.

;) :P
