A new Rush live album will soon be released in Europe called Spirit Of The Airwaves.

This is not a official Rush-album, similar to ABC 1974, and is already a download-able bootleg, that have been out there for a while, with the name St. Louis ´80.

And its not a full concert, lots of songs is missing, such as Cygnus X-1. I already got the bootleg, and can say that even thou its not full, its a great bootleg, with good sound quality.

It will be available as CD and LP, and I know that Rush wont be getting any money from this, but I will still buy it, since I am a collector, and want everything that got something to do with Rush!

More info here: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2014/01/rush-spirit-of-airwaves-live-1980-radio.html

How many more here will buy it?

If the sound quality were good this is something I might would want. The best playing their best and epic music. I would wish for something like an ATWAS 2 however. Maybe this would do...... :)

Yes Narpzilla this would do. But seeing as this is a bootleg and Rush isn't actually making any money on it I'd recommend finding and downloadign a bootleg of it.

I just don't want to be disappointed again with the sh*t sound. Someone please tell me the sound quality is as clear and concise as dropping the needle on my 38 year old copy of ATWAS!! Please either assure me of this or I want nothing to do with it... :)

It's not as clear due to how it's recorded but still damn good.

a) Yeah, screw the scammers, you can get it for free!

b) The 1980 St. Louis show is one of the best Rush live recordings EVER, IMO. Even including the official live albums. The version I've got now is from the pre-FM source and it sounds amazing, and the performances are phenomenal. It might have my favourite live versions of Xanadu and La Villa. And the medley is awesome. The only major disappointment is that it's not a full show! But for what it is I am so grateful.

(Also, what is it with 1980 and amazing-sounding boots? Genesis' shows at the Lyceum in 1980 hold a similar position as Rush's St. Louis boot for me, in that they're as good as any official live album. Hmmn, maybe I just like how live bands were mixed in 1980.)

Your son seems to know a lot about technology. Get him to download this. http://kickass.to/rush-st-louis-80-remastered-t539106.html Then download Trader's Little Helper and convert these .flac files into .mp3 and they should work on your phone.

Thanks for paying attention. He does. He is always so busy I just hate to bug him anymore... :)

I'll see your dead-end and give you a confirmed direct download link: http://uploaded.net/file/emdwjp7g :) I tried it myself, and it works, and has MP3 files so you won't have to convert. The only part you might need a hand with is opening the archive (the downloaded file is one big file with all the other files inside it), but that's easy and a lot of folks here can walk you through it. I hope this works for you! :)

Use the Free Download link, btw. It is a bit slow, but hey. it's free. :)

(Also, these aren't my links, I found them here - http://soundaboard.blogspot.ca/2010/12/rush-st-louis-80.html - which also has FLAC files for those who live losslessly ;) )
