JohnnyBlaze
QUOTE (FT Tracker @ Sep 14 2012, 10:05 PM) I think we should keep Geddy as the lead singer, but that being said AC/DC did alright changing singers. You may be right but Bon was with ACDC for about 6 years while Geddy has technically been in Rush for over 40. Lee would be much harder (and likely impossible) to replace given that kind of history
hellion
QUOTE (Sheldon Cooper @ Sep 14 2012, 07:06 AM) QUOTE (hellion @ Sep 14 2012, 01:09 AM) As some people have already surmised, the band may be laying off the 70's tunes on the current tour and saving them maybe for their last run on the R 40 tour. would the band be open to experimenting with a guest vocalist to sing on some of songs that Geddy is vocally challenged on now, what do think. not a knock off vocalist like yes have done, but someone with their own character. would the Rush fan base accept this if they got to hear some rare Tunes off their early albums, just a thought STFU n00b! finally got a good rise out of someone lol
Thunder Bay Rush
First, NO! This cannot be a serious question - besides, Gedgy can still sing most of the 70s anyway. And, if they had to, they could always drop it down one semi-tone or so, like they did with 2112. Amy is right about bands like Queen and INXS. "Paul Rogers and Queen?" And, INXS brings a guy in who won a singing contest on TV? JFC!
canadianice
trenken is looking for a gig, and he can sing better than Ged
drbirdsong
This thread reminds me of an old joke: I own a hatchet. It's the hatchet that George Washington used to chop down the cherry tree. I have replaced the handle and the head, but it occupies the same space.
