exiled yorkie
FROM SKY NEWS IN THE UK and on www.bbc.co.uk Irish rockers U2, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, REM, Paul McCartney and Madonna will feature in the line-up in London. Philadelphia will boast such stars as Will Smith and Bon Jovi. Germans will be able to see big names such as A-Ha, Lauren Hill and in Rome Faith Hill and Duran Duran will perform. Paris will play host to names such as Craig David, Placebo and Jamiroquai. Seems europe is getting better bands It's a free gig in europe and the states apparently. It a text message lottery system in the UK. So no chance for tickets for US people interested in flying over for the UK gig. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4594865.stm

rushgoober
There's been a rumor (confirmed to be patently UNtrue) around the internet that Pink Floyd was going to play this event WITH roger waters re-united with the band. Alas, several sources have confirmed this as wrong - where do these rumors come from? If ever there was a concert to re-do, it's this one, not because I care about the bands so much as because in the tumultuous and war-torn world we live in, we could use a little focus on giving and what's important. Just as long as they don't try to re-do Woodstock - kind of hard to try and recreate a great cultural moment - boy, THAT didn't work too well, did it? Alas, several sources have confirmed this as wrong - where do these rumors come from? Man, I knew it was too good to be true, but I was hoping.
