ioc
QUOTE (Babycat @ Jun 27 2011, 03:45 PM)You probably know by now that I'm given to asking the odd daft question, but what does 'apples to oranges' mean? It's an idiom. A comparison of apples and oranges occurs when two items or groups of items are compared that cannot be validly compared. Comparing apples and oranges, refers to the apparent differences between items which are popularly thought to be incomparable or incommensurable, such as apples and oranges. It may also be used to indicate that a false analogy has been made between two items, such as where an apple is faulted for not being a good orange or vice versa. EDIT: Although I must admit seeing the "Eat Em And Smile" and "Skyscraper" Tour, Sheehan simply killed it. Remember the Vai Sheehan solo wars on stage? They were EPIC. Yet another reason why those David Lee Roth albums blew that polished pop key"bored" Sam Halen shit away!! Rushchick10
Gotta give it to Ged here. Of course, I was never a big fan of The Who. BUT, The Ox was a great player, no question. I feel Geddy has grown more in his playing through the years. That's the awesome thing about Rush...they always strive to improve themselves.
