Sorry, you didn't say "both leagues," you just said "THE league" - without specifying which one.

Also, I think that leading the league and tied for the league lead are slightly different.

gorman thomas played for the brewers in the seventies and hit 45 homers one year. dam 76 ? hmmm ? i believe the national league was dave kingman or mike schmitt , cant figure out the a.l. is he a yankee ?
