What the heck ever happened to John Sykes?

He got into watching TV soaps and can't be bothered playing guitar!

last I heard, he crashes on eddie trunk's couch sometimes

That's crazy.

He should be crashing the fuckingg stage keeping Phil's Legacy alvie.

Dark Star Riders is cool but it ain't Sykes with Aldridge on drums.

Saw that tandem a few times.

Sad.

He's as fat as Chris Farley ad his hair is like that now too. And he lives in a van down by the river...

I've recently become really really curious about Thin Lizzy aside from Jailbreak, which I already own and like very much. That was the only album my dad ever mentioned, so I figured it was probably their only really good one, like many rock acts over the years who see it all come together on one release and never live up to that potential otherwise. However, after much reading, it seems unanimous around the interwebs that Thin Lizzy are one of those rare incredible acts who not only have many other great albums, but were prolific in their prime, meaning tons of great awesome music. Thus, I've become very interested in exploring their other albums, for the reasons mentioned about and cuz their accepted universally as an essentially Irish band (though not all members were Irish) and as I've mentioned before I love Ireland to death.

RIP Phil, hope to get to know your music better soon!

Some useless info:

In the Ritchie Blackmore biography Black Knight, Blackmore mentions he almost formed a band with:

Phil Lynot - Vocals

Ian Paice - drums

Roger Glover - bass

Blackmore - guitar
