I love that Geddy cuffs his pants too, because it's supposed to be such a fashion faux pas, yet I do the same...I can now say, "Well, Geddy Lee does it"! I have jeans lined with flannel (hey, it gets cold here) and it's nice to let the flannel show, especially if it goes with my shirt!

I also love that (at least some) Rush fans wear Rush shirts to their gigs...that's another supposed no-no (wearing band's own shirt to their gig), but I do it and don't give a d**n! tongue.gif

I wear a Rush shirt about 50% of the time. I never used to wear them much until they started offering shirts that were a little more girly, or at least in smaller sizes. Sometimes, even a men's size small makes me look like the little kid who got into daddy's closet. The three shows I've been to on this leg, I've been representing in the Rush shirt! I also had the most awesome AFTK shirt a few years back that I would wear, but it gave up the ghost and had to be given a proper burial. I wish I could find another one again...I loved it to DEATH! tongue.gif

My jeans have the cuffs turned up too as I'm 5ft 3ins and I can't find pairs that are the right size in the legs. I also wore a demim jacket covered with Rush patches and badges (back and front, that took me hours to stitch on!) to the R30 tour with a Moving Pictures t-shirt. Everyone loved the jacket!

I cuff my own jeans, both because I've seen Geddy do it [no, I'm not obsessed at all! laugh.gif] and because some of them are on the long side. I also wear traditional black and white Converse shoes, which I've lovingly dubbed my "Geddy shoes." They look better on Geddy, methinks, but I'm a devoted Geddy girl and follow his example. wub.gif

Eh, I don't care about fashion do's and don'ts--I care about style. Geddy has a lot of style. tongue.gif

And like Geddy, I have large feet. I'm a size 10 Looking at concert videos and pictures, he has large feet and large hands. Geddy once said in a 1980 interview, about the interface machine that triggered his keyboards: "They're very large feet, I might add, so I get very large sounds." I was like, "I'm sure you do, Geddy." wink.gif

Hey, I wore a Rush shirt at my show. I didn't give a damn, either. There were many people with Rush shirts at the venue. cool.gif

I have this scarf I refer to as my Geddy scarf and I wear it whenever I'm feeling particularly obsessive XD

I don't think it's a bad thing he cuffs his pants, I think it's endearing. I mentioned it to my Sis in law and nephews the other night at dinner and they looked at me like I had two heads "how can you know that?" I though maybe my photo analyzing was getting away from me. laugh.gif They told me it was because he was short. I didn't think he was short.. but he's so thin I would think that the pants that fit at the top of him would fit at the bottom?? Don't men's pants come in lengths? Don't they buy them waist x length? I should just accept it as an cute quirky fashion choice of his. I'm sure if he didn't want them like that he could them tailored.

As for wearing the bands shirts at a show, it does seem like Rush is also "against the grain" with this practice. It seems like the older the shirt the better, this only brings me sadness at the loss of my HYF shirt sometime during the crazy college years.

Maybe I spend too much time looking at the details, but it always seems like Ged's pants are too long, they are cuffed at the bottom and a lot of time it seems like there is some kind of plaid lining on the inside... why is this??

Should I find another hobby besides analyzing pics of Geddy Lee??

I do the same thing. I also have a pair of jeans which are too long. I tried wearing them for a while with the legs bunched up at the bottom, but it's much more comfortable to turn them up. yes.gif

Well, Ged's not a super tall guy...5'9" or 5'10 MAX. He's shorter than Alex by an inch or so, and Neil's about 6'4"-ish. I'm 5'2"-5'3"-ish with bare feet, and in my picture with Ged and Al, I'm wearing motocycle-stlye boots that give me an extra inch. Ged's bent down slightly next to me...I hugged him, you know! Had my face in that hair for a split second...and he smiled at me and looked at me over his glasses...

Lordy! Sorry I got off track there! tongue.gif

Oh dear...I need a lie-down now! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Geddy's pretty much exactly my height, if not a wee bit taller. I'm about 5'9" myself, which is unusually tall for a woman. If I were at a Meet and Greet, I would be right at eye-level with him. cool.gif

Whoa, the thought of that gives me butterflies in my stomach. blush4.gif
