CMWriter
http://i54.tinypic.com/2zzul9e.jpg A sketch I did of Geddy Lee. All graphite, except that I attempted (futilely) to clean up the scan in Photoshop. Whole lotta good that did. Here's a link that will take you to where you can zoom in! If you like, of course. HowItIs
Does jewelry count? Not only have I done the necklace that I posted in in the "Rush" area (Passage To Bangkok inspired) but I've done quite a few pieces that were inspired by Genesis tunes... CMWriter
Oh wow, I love the "Afterglow" pieces! I'm not much of a long necklace wearer (interferes with my sax's neck strap) but I love the set. They're all so beautiful; so professional. Very impressive. The transition from one bead colour to the next is flawless. ♥

If anyone feels that should be moved, I'm okay with a moderator moving it to the appropriate thread. The Afterglow necklace was the first Genesis-inspired one. I had to make it that long to get the colors to blend correctly. Swarovski makes such lovely colors, too. Sax?

HowItIs
See now, I can't draw to save my life. So I admire anyone who can. Nice picture, Kenneth! The weird thing is... my daughter is a very talented artist. Since neither I nor her Dad can draw a lick, we're not sure where she got it. But she's into anime style, hoping to eventually work in the animation business. Here's the latest she sent me: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd103/laserspray/internet%20stuff/moonpathsbystarymoto.jpg I finished the RTB necklace & earrings. Will post a pic or 3 in the thread I started in the Rush area later today...

circumstantial tree
I'm not an architect yet. I'm trying to get my Masters degree. Those are real buildings. Both of them are located in Germany. I used charcoal and conte crayon for the church. For the skyscraper, it's strictly a black prismacolor pencil. IChoseFreeWill
My costume page: http://www.cosplaylab.com/cosplayers/detail.asp?memberid=128 Costumes can be considered art, right? A few of them are from scratch. Most are made from modifying existing articles of clothing. All of them are hand-sewn- I have never used a sewing machine. CMWriter
This is my latest piece. Of course, since I drew Geddy I had to give Neil Peart a go as well... http://i51.tinypic.com/nmc8ev.png More information and bigger size here. More detailed, yup, and I actually located my good 6B pencil. (at last!!) I'm quite proud of this, save for a few details here and there (such as the sticks). It's possibly the best thing I've ever done in graphite.

It's actually kind of exciting; when you search "Neil Peart" on DeviantART my picture's on the first page (which isn't honestly saying much.. there are only about 150 pics with him tagged lol). And I love the condo' wall posted just above this. All that? With Prismacolors? I'm amazed. I still can't work my pencils just right yet (thus the graphite pictures as of lately). Color makes everything more fun -- but way more difficult! So kudos to you. (I can't draw buildings, either. So that means DOUBLE kudos.) Great texture and shading work. (: Thanks CM, your work is fabulous as well. I'm not sure how much you draw, but I recommend that you try your hand at charcoal sticks. It can feel a bit clumsy in your hand, but if you work large, you can get finer lines. The church I drew above is actually 24"x36". Charcoal makes a lot of dark and light values. Graphite of course works well too.

I appreciate it. ^__^ Actually, I don't think I even own paper that large. My largest is... 14" by 17". That Neil Peart picture was done on 9" x 12" (I think). I have been wanting to try my hand at charcoal. I'm just nervous because I've never worked with it, and to be honest the closest I get to supplies are a couple of charcoal pencils I found lying around my room. Might talk to my art teacher and see what she has to suggest. I draw mainly as a hobby. I'm taking a class just because (A) it's free and ( B ) I still would like to improve even if I never get paid a dime for my work. Right now, though, I haven't a lot of time to practice, aside from forty minutes a day in class. Other classes, and all that studying.. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll look into it.
