Bastille Dave
I made 2 cd's titled "70's Heavy Metal". most of these alot of people would call hard rock or whatever but most of it was considered heavy metal at the time. The genre isnt really important to me, it's basically the hardest rockin' stuff I came up with off the top of my head, makes for good road trip cd's. I was considering making them mp3's and craming 60 or more tracks at 320 kbps but I wanted to retain the best possible sound without condensing so I left them at 16 and 20 tracks a piece. disc 1: Exciter....Judas Priest Highway Star.....Deep Purple He's A Woman, She's A Man.....Scorpions Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.....Black Sabbath Sanctuary.....Iron Maiden ('79 demo) Great White Buffalo(live)....Ted Nugent Rats In The Cellar......Aerosmith 21st Century Schitzoid Man....April Wine Miss Misery....Nazareth Parasite.....Kiss Frankenstein......Edgar Winter Rock N Roll Machine....Triumph Planet's On Fire....Sammy hagar Blue Collar Man....Styx (hindsight shoulda gone with Miss America) Hocus Pocus....Focus School's Out...Alice Cooper Disc 2: Eruption(cut at :45 first fade)/ Atomic Punk....VH(actually sounds pretty cool Let There Be Rock......AC/DC Space Staion #5....Montrose Set Me Free......Sweet 2112 Overture/Didacts & Narpets....Rush(yeah, couldve gone with something older than 2112 but I wanted to have fun with it, it sounds cool) Stone Cold Crazy....Queen Kill The King....Rainbow Barracuda....Heart The Red And The Black....BOC Carry On Wayward Son....Kansas Rocks Off(from First Strike)....Def Leppard Massacre...Thin Lizzy Heartbreaker....Pat Benatar Flying Turky Trot (live)...REO Speedwagon Makes No Difference(live)...Pat Travers Immigrant Song...Led Zeppelin Honey Hush...Foghat Day Of The Eagle....Robin Trower I tried to go with what my definition of the most heavy metal-ish song by each band: more heaviness, chugga-luggin' guitars and the fastest paced tempos in the songs by each band. what do ya think? Sussossus
QUOTE (tkdryan @ Jul 11 2010, 11:00 AM) I swear Moving Pictures CD for example sounds better in the Car stereo then plugging my ipod into the stereo Of course it does, the CD has lost no quality. You can rip music to a computer without losing anything (if you choose to, takes a lot more space), but as soon as it is changed to another format (.mp3, for example) that quality is lost forever.
