Apparently the lyrics in Prime Mover are connected in some way to the new album. There's bit of posting on this in the RIAB comments of the news story. Its pretty obvious and you have to wonder if they'll play PM this tour too or maybe next year to unify theme with the new album material.

Neil has dealt with this subject of a controlled universe before, such as in Natural Science, so its nothing new.

I just hope he finds a way to write about it without it sounding overly technical or too literal. If you're going to write about something like this in a song, keep it very abstract. That helps keep it from sounding corny.

Maybe you should send Neil a PM? You'll end up in the "Thanks list"on their next album, that would be great!!

The third link is so full of Rush references, it's not even funny! unsure.gif 2.gif

"A notable exclusion from this theory though is free will, since all things have already been set in motion and are just parts of a predictable machine."

"A similar concept goes back, at least, to John of Sacrobosco's early 13th century introduction to astronomy: On the Sphere."

"God was the Prime Mover, who brought into being the world in its lawfulness, regularity, and beauty."
