Not only great photos...but wasn't that the Glasgow choir gig on CTTH from ESL?

Yes, it certainly was!

If you listen very carefully at approximately 2/3rds across the right hand side of the stereo image you'll hear me doing my note perfect Geddy impersonation! laugh.gif

And you can hear me and my mate scream just before Ged starts singing CTTH wink.gif

how i yearn for a return to this era b_sigh.gif

Don't we all? What a fantastic set-list!

If only Rush would play more of the classics so sadly missed on the S&A tour?

At the very least Xanadu and 2112?

Cool pics! I found these online a while ago. It was a great gig- last of the Apollo gigs too. All 3 of the tours there were awesome. I have brilliant memories of them.

quite.. i have been quite outspoken about my love for this era and often critisised for being stuck in the past and unable to see beyond it.

unfortunately the people saying this probably werent even around to witness just how awesome they were back then.

i love rush music from every era but they will NEVER be this good again.

These guys are awesome any time I see them but I would have to say that those first 3 shows I saw at the Apollo (Kings, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves) the band were starving hungry .. just SO on it and white hot. They may not have reached the level of musicianship they have achieved now but the utter driving passion and energy they played with then was incredible to see.

Those of us who are old enough to have attended are incredibly fortunate to have been there. Tickets were like gold dust.
