Did you run it under the cold tap? Put some burn cream on it. hug2.gif

I hate pans with metal handles. angry.gif We have some, and I once left one on the stove (which was still on) and my sister pick it up and burned her hand. sad.gif

I could be mistaken but I believe the correct method to use cold water is to not place the burn under while the water's running. If possible you fill a sink with water and place your burn in it. I guess it hurts less if the water is standing still rather than having it move over a sensitive area.

An aloe plant is good to have around. Otherwise there are creams, etc. that minimize pain and blistering.

Submerge in cold water with ice, and if it starts to blister you really should get medical attention.

Poor you. Hope it feels better soon.

Thanks everyone wub.gif I appreciate your thoughts and concerns. My first reaction was to run the cold tap water. I have galley kitchen so it was convienient.

A couple of hours later, after my initial shock I remembered my Ocean Potion I bought a couple of years ago for a bad sunburn. (light skin, not a sun worshiper) Anyways, it contains Aloe Vera, Lidocaine, and Tea Tree. I started feeling better right away. I'm down to one dime size blister and one pea size blister.

I guess I was a little too freaked out.

That must've hurt like a mother! Glad it didn't turn out to be too severe.

Remember next time to perform a JHA - Job Hazard Analysis - before doing any tasks at work or at home.

Thought I'd share, I get safety tidbits shoved in my face everyday when I'm at work, it's a pain in the ass but it does pay off.

Getting injured sucks.

Nope. It works. My grandmother swears by it.

Considering burning myself just to test this.

Probably not a good idea...

Yeah, I kinda wouldn't if I were you. Burn somebody you don't like and test it.
