I found the book rather long, drawn out and generally poorly written.

Never read it, but thanks for your input.

Just my opinion.

No sarcasm intended, but everyone interprets what they like right?

I loved all of the books, looking forward to the movie, I did no know they were making it! I saw a few Hitchhiker's episodes on tv on PBS, but it didn't stay around long sad.gif

I liked the book. Douglas Adams has a real dry sense of humor. It might be tough to translate that humor to the big screen, though. The trailer didn't show me much except for the basic plot and some decent F/X shots. I might need to see some reviews to make sure it's faithful to the flavor of the book.

I'm not sure what to think of this one yet, so...

Using the soon-to-be-patented 1-0-0-1 rating system, I rate it:

-- Must See

-- Wait For Cable

-- Wait for Network TV

-- Avoid At All Costs

I enjoyed the books, I just recently reread them. I really liked the 1981 BBC mini series based on the first two books.

I have me reservations about this movie, but I do like how they made Marvin.

I loved the Hitchhiker books, and I have a friend who loves them even more, so I'm sure this movie will be one of the rare times I decide not to wait for rental and trek to the movie theatre...... its the 10 dollar popcorn that kills me smile.gif

10 Dollar Popcorn?

I heard about that movie too - I see it on the marquee all the time. Never seems to make it to the big screen though.

Must be a marketing problem.
