Jack Aubrey Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Available in all sizes and formats: 'Hitchhiker's Guide'
Dweezil Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I found the book rather long, drawn out and generally poorly written.

Rhiannon_of_Rivendell Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I loved all of the books, looking forward to the movie, I did no know they were making it! I saw a few Hitchhiker's episodes on tv on PBS, but it didn't stay around long
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I liked the book. Douglas Adams has a real dry sense of humor. It might be tough to translate that humor to the big screen, though. The trailer didn't show me much except for the basic plot and some decent F/X shots. I might need to see some reviews to make sure it's faithful to the flavor of the book. I'm not sure what to think of this one yet, so... Using the soon-to-be-patented 1-0-0-1 rating system, I rate it: -- Must See Rental -- Wait For Cable -- Wait for Network TV -- Avoid At All Costs
Let The Fray Begin Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I loved the Hitchhiker books, and I have a friend who loves them even more, so I'm sure this movie will be one of the rare times I decide not to wait for rental and trek to the movie theatre...... its the 10 dollar popcorn that kills me
furie Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I enjoyed the books, I just recently reread them. I really liked the 1981 BBC mini series based on the first two books. I have me reservations about this movie, but I do like how they made Marvin.
NeilPeartFan2112 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 My friend said the books were really good reads. I might have to check this one out.

I heard about that movie too - I see it on the marquee all the time. Never seems to make it to the big screen though. Must be a marketing problem.
