Keep you eye on www.moderndrunkard.com. Their page is down temporarily but they have an excellent article on Absinthe.

 

Apparently you need to kind of push it and drink alot to realize the full effects. One of the authors or quotes said that drinking a little is just like drinking regular booze, the second stage is uncomfortable and not much fun, but if you reach the third stage, you are loving it, hallucinating and drunk, but supposedly in a good way?

 

I am to old to be fooling with this stuff, but I am a little curious..

Yea IM not really into this kinda stuff, i always stayed clear of those other trippy drugs, I like to stay organic..did Shrooms.laffed my a$$ off allll night..but didn't see things, just laffed and laffed but stayed clear of the mesk and acid chemical crap...if it goes threw peoples hands to make i don't trust it thats why this stuff has me kinda interested in it..Its made from herbs...holistic kinda u know? even if i dot drink it...its a cool looking bottle to keep as convosation peice in my APT   I duno, IM still thinking about getting that lil one they have for $18 I found on ebay. ill keep yaz updated

Its entirely true, and really meant more of a pre-cautionary tale than anything else.   Jimson Weed jokingly got thrown into this thread about Abinsinthe.   This may be overkill but for purposes of safety people need to know that they are two seperate substances and Abinsinthe does not contain Jimson Weed.   Jimson Weed grows in many parts of the US, I have some growing in my backyard as a matter of fact. The deal is this stuff reportedly kills animals that eat it like cows and horses. I have never used it and strongly advise those wishing to maintain some brain cells to do the same.

I was browsing some goth ebay store and found some

Abinsinthe incense ..ahhh $2, $3 for shipping, Im always burning something smelly like that

so i got me some

Its made from all the same herbs as the drink and made from the oils of it.So should be interesting to smell , I like trying new funky things like this
