KirkDS
I don't use a set (I don't know how anyone could stand to use them exclusively), but I use a Roland SPD-S sampler/pad thingy with a few expansion pads spread around my kit. It's the best way I've ever seen to have the best of both worlds....well, that is if you don't have the benefit of two entire kits and a spinning drum riser. For what it's worth, Derek (sp?) in Pete's band "Counterparts" really gets the most I've seen out of an electronic kit and does a great job replicating the Rush stuff. hermy
I have the TD-6 as well. I mix them in with my other drums. They also make a great warm up kit and don't piss of the neighbors
the masked drummer
I currently use a V-drum kit. It's a TD-3 with the addition of a TD-8 module and diy converted acoustic drums. I have around 20 inputs, and some of them are dual-zone. I'm using the TD-3 mainly for cymbals and the TD-8 for most everything else.
