How do YOU build a "perfect salad"?

In a 2 cup salad bowl...

 

Crisp green and iceberg lettuce, snap peas, shredded carrots, sliced radishes, sliced water chestnuts. Sprinkle this with crushed red peppers to taste, toss with a teaspoon or two of ranch dressing, add 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese, chopped ripe tomato, 1/2 grilled chicken breast chopped. Top with bacon bits and gold fish crackers! drool1.gif

In A Bowl:

 

Chuck in a Hamburger patty, and add Mustard. Add Taco meat, cheese, and hot sauce. Two scoops of ice cream. Strawberry. Pour half a pop bottle in there. Pickles. Onions. Tomato Sauce. Bread. Fluff. Hot Dog. And pretty much anything else in your fridge.

 

Mix.

 

Its good, but it'l clog your arteries faster than Donovan Bailey on a 100 meter dash.

Lettuce, provolone cheese, pepperoni, marinated steak or chicken(cooked & diced), mozzarella, grated parm. cheese, mix with italian dressing, top with olives & tomato if desired.

Soft tender shoots of romain lettuce, shredded cheddar, some parmesan cheese, fresh peas, shreds of carrot, sunflower seeds, chopped hard boiled egg, and Ranch dressing.

 

 

 

 

 

Yum. Now I am hungry.

Where I come from (West of England) this is how we make salad:

Get a limp lettuce and other posh stuff from Tesco's (supermarket), put them in the fridge and leave them for 2 weeks until waaaay past the 'use by' date.

In the mean time go to the chippie (takeaway) each night and pig out on fish and chips (french fries). Throw out salad with the chip paper.

Spinach or romaine -

 

2 avacados -

 

4 roma tomatos -

 

1 tbsp crushed ginger -

 

1 tbsp crushed garlic -

 

mix 1/2 cup balsamic and 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil.
