Drugs are bad mkay

The legal ones sure are. Tobacco, alcohol, pills...

Fluoxetine/Prozac:

The most common side effects for patients taking Fluoxetine are as follows:

Akathisia

Anxiety

Asthenia

Headache

Flu syndrome

Fever

Vasodilatation

Nausea

Diarrhea

Dry mouth

Dyspepsia

Insomnia

Nervousness

Somnolence

Dizziness

Tremor

Pharmaceuticals are a way of life in this pill popping society, and it brings billions to the major companies such as Bayer, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnon etc...

I think I'd rather stick to natural substances such as grass, with the side effects being drowsiness and a compultion to eat food.

Get high, get creative, get motivated, have a good meal and a nap. Sounds quite harmless to me. yes.gif

One of the major reasons pot is still illegal is that it is a natural substance that can't be patented, so pharmaceutical companies spend large $$$ on junk science to help make it remain illegal.

They've now found a way to make money from it, Marinol, Sativex... So while the plant in it's natural form remains illegal, these 2 synthetic extracts are legal. Shows you where the motivation is: MONEY.

The war on Cannabis had it's beginnings in the late 1800's, early 1900's in part when Cannabis posed a serious threat to the cotton industry in the southern USA...

I could in turn say, pills = drugs = drugs and pills are bad, and in most cases I'd be truthful,

you lumping weed as a "bad" thing is a result of 100 years of propaganda and/or poor education on the subject.

It's not all about getting high either, although it's effects have proven medicinal values,

It's about saving our planet and ourselves from ourselves.

Marijuana is quite possibly the greatest thing to happen to man.. other than Rush of course!

I medicate from Marijuana to help ease my restlessness and to also help my Aspergers syndrome. I never feel 'burnt-out' to the point where I can't function, I just slowly get more tired and eventually it's the perfect time to take a nap or go to sleep.

I also work 5 days a week, go to school and have a girlfriend.

Pot isn't too bad at all smile.gif

Thanks for posting Canadica.

I put hemp-hearts on my cereal every morning, not only do they taste good, they are probably the best source of omega 3 fatty acids - essential to good health.

It's hard to grasp the ignorance and stubbornness of a large percentile of the populace when it comes to the medical and scientific facts of marijuana.

And then of course there is the blatant hypocricy - marijuana - illegal, alcohol and tobacco - legal, not only are they legal, but glamorized and glorified. Yet both are proven to be serious health detriments and are known to kill hundreds of thousands of people each year.

Prohibition of cannabis has done nothing but suck up billions of dollars of resources while lining the pockets of criminal organizations. If it were to be legalized, sold and regulated by the government, who's to say the financial windfall of such an endeavor wouldn't pay for better health care, education and treatment of more serious addictions?

So....put that in your pipe and SMOKE IT.....!

Agreed, hemp would replace industries such as forestry, petroleum based fuel, just to name 2 of many, but the transition would be a painful process for those who currently are getting rich off the raping of the planet.

Trees that take 30 - 100 years to replace could be left to thrive if we'd use hemp instead, which can have 3 crops per season here in Canada, and can be grown year-round elsewhere.

It's all about money, who cares about the environment, or the world we will leave to our children...

But to get this thread back on track here... yes.gif
