I'm one of those people that buy a cheap Windows and makes them into a Mac.

Gotta ask... how do you do that?

I love the look of Macs smile.gif

yes.gif That is pretty slick.

I'll give you a walkthrough (really easy actually) when I get home tonight. The bar on the top with all of the quickstart buttons is a program called Objectdock. Everything else (calander, weather, clock, and iPod) are from Yahoo Widgets.

Thanks alot man!

I've done it... and I'll post a picture sometime tomorrow.

Step 1) Download Objectdock here- http://www.download.com/ObjectDock/3000-2341_4-10210264.html

Once you're done, you'll have the bar at the top of your screen. then you can drag all of your shortcuts to the bar. You can readjust the size of the icons in the "configure dock" button. Since you're going to eventually turn off your desktop, if you have any folders you want access to, it's a good idea to put a shortcut to that too.

Step 2) Go to http://widgets.yahoo.com/ Download the engine that's on the homepage. If I remember correctly, once the download's done, a window will open, letting you choose which widgets you want. Those are only the basic ones. There's pretty much a widget for whatever program you want. People make a widget for everything (right now on Yahoo a popular one is the Countdown to Christmas widget, to give an example). If you want more widgets (like my iPod one) go to yahoo's widget gallery, here- http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/

Step 3) Right click on your desktop, go to "Arrange Icons By" and then de-select "Show Desktop Icons".

And you should be all set!
