Entre_Perpetuo
Classic Italian prog vs. classic American rock and roll. Who takes it?
Entre_Perpetuo
Paul's solo album is good, but it's not Italian prog masterpiece good. But then KISS has Alive, and very few bands have anything that compares to Alive, so they win the band column. For me the hardest question is between the two singers. Paul's kinda a one-trick pony... but dang, what a powerful trick it is. That is the unbridled charisma of rock and roll he wields. But then there's Franceso, who's a powerhouse singer in his own right, perhaps the best of the entire Italian prog scene. He could hold a note for ages, and with that wonderfully rich vibrato and grit in his voice. In the end I decided to go with Paul, if only because I think he gets overlooked in greatest rock singer of all time conversations. Not that he belongs at the top... but I think top 20 pretty easily, maybe top 10.
zepphead
Its all the way to the Banco for me!!
goose
Banco takes the first two for me, but as you note, Stanley's singing is perfect for KISS, and a big reason for their success. He gets the nod on the third question.
