Jag2112 Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 While it's not clear what 'participate' actually means, this might be cool :) http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2021/01/geddy-lee-will-participate-in-vancouver.html 2
RushFanForever Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Ben Mink is on the board of directors with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. He's collaborated with Geddy Lee, k.d. lang, and The Barenaked Ladies when Steven Page was in the band. He might be involved possibly with this event. 3
blueschica Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I support local symphonies and the roster of participating artists looks cool! Since I don't have a connection with Vancouver, however, the price is a little steep for me. ( $100.00 CD to view.) Props to Geddy and the other artists, though, for supporting different types of arts during this horrible time for performing. 1
Chicken hawk Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Could be a worthwhile event ! Thanks for sharing Jag ! ♪♪♪♪
RushFanForever Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 (edited) Could be a worthwhile event ! Thanks for sharing Jag ! ♪♪♪♪ A friend of mine emailed me about this event and I passed it onto Ed at Rushisaband.com, John (Jag2112) at Cygnus-X1.Net: A Tribute to Rush and Eric at Power Windows: A Tribute To Rush - 2112.net. Then afterwards Rolling Stone, Ultimate Classic Rock, Blabbermouth, Louder, etc. have been posting about this event as well. Edited January 12, 2021 by RushFanForever 1
OneZeroZero Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Just FYI, the Symphony's page for the event says the following: "Please note: Special guests are appearing virtually to share their support for music, resilience in the arts, and the VSO in this benefit event. They will not be performing with the VSO." 1
Fordgalaxy Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 I don't guess he'll be playing unless they decide to have a bass guitar as part of the ensemble, which would be odd.
