  1. Back in November of 2020, not one but two books were published that centered around Rush fans. Dreamers & Misfits: The Definitive Book About Rush Fans by Alexander Hellene and RUSH: The Day I Was There by Richard Houghton I just completed reading both of these books and found them very interesting and rather engaging. I've posted extended excerpts from each book on my site so fans can get a sampling of each before (hopefully) purchasing them. Links to each excerpt below: DREAMERS & MISFITS THE DEFINITIVE BOOK ABOUT RUSH FANS RUSH: THE DAY I WAS THERE Enjoy-

  9. I had the real pleasure of speaking with Hugh Syme earlier this month in connection with the release of the expanded edition of his Art of Rush coffee table book. We discussed a number of topics from his long-standing relationship with the band, his approach to designing album covers, and more. He also revealed some tidbits on the forthcoming Moving Pictures 40th Anniversary Box set!. You can check out the entire interview at this link: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/hugh-syme-interview-09.2021.php I hope you enjoy it-
  10. It's been a while since Alex graced the cover of a mainstream magazine, so it was great to see him on the cover of the November 2021 issue of Guitar Player. More details and links to both articles available here: http://news.cygnus-x1.net/2021/09/alex-lifeson-featured-in-november-2021.html Enjoy-

  16. Let me take this opportunity to give John at Cygnus-X1.net some recognition, not only for his archiving of Neil's articles, but for his entire site, an invaluable resource to the Rush community. John was handing out postcards advertising Cygnus-X.net at the first Rush gig I ever went to, the gig at which I became a fan, and I have been visiting it regularly ever since. Many thanks and much appreciation to John for all his hard work over the years! Thank you, sir. Always nice to hear favorable comments about the work I put into my website. Glad you're enjoying it.

  23. That's great news. I wish Vapor Trails, S&A, and Clockwork Angels could reach the Gold certification plateau...maybe one day. For those interested, you can see all of Rush's RIAA certifications on a single page here: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/certifications-riaa.php
  24. Back on July 25th, 1974, Rush would open for KISS at the Centennial Hall in London, Ontario. It would turn out to be John Rutsey's final performance with the band. A few photos from that performance recently emerged, so I've made them available on this page: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/concert-london-on-07.25.1974.php Enjoy-
  25. The 'new' Caress of Steel tour book has been scanned and transcribed for your reading and viewing pleasure. The article included in the tour book, which was written back in 1975, is fairly insightful and actually speaks to the success Rush would go on to have. A great read.
