I liked the solos at the end of Heaven Knows and The Haze. Heaven Knows, So Weird, and The Haze I enjoyed a bit more (due to pacing) than Pinnochio and The Cage but that's just me. All were very well done!
stoopid
Heaven Knows, So Weird, and The Haze I enjoyed a bit more (due to pacing) than Pinnochio and The Cage but that's just me. All were very well done! And I'm on the other side of that equation, enjoying a more experimental/alt/prog track like Pinnochio. :P There's a bit of a predictably punk-pop/Goo Goo Dolls feel for most of the songs that doesn't really grab me. Good news is that means you're appealing to a wide range of listeners. The bad news, as I learned on my last album, is that you'll have zero fans of the band/project since you're everywhere stylistically (other than appealing to the very (very) small percent of music listeners who like variety). Thanks for sharing the tracks though, there's nothing awesome nor offensive here and maybe that's why I'm a bit meh about it. They're perfectly "fine" songs. At times there's some sibilance issues on the vocals. Learn to harness the power of the de-esser! ;) Edited November 23, 2019 by stoopid

I didn't describe it well, but yes, the punk pop quality of Heaven Knows, So Weird, and the Haze is what appealed to me. I'll have to give Pinnochio another listen.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was criticizing your post/taste, I was making note of how two different ears can latch on to entirely different elements in the music.
