unless they have decided that this is the best they could or have ever done then I don't see it being their last album. The scary thing for me is I am starting to believe that this is probably the best stuff they have done to date. I need to go and listen to Hemispheres/ Farwell/ etc.etc.

this is the best birthday present ever thank you poster and thank you Rush amazing song amazing band we are the most blessed fans in the world.

9-11 was certainly a defining moment for the world. But CA is a concept album so unless it is about corrupt governments and CIA cover ups then I don't think it is likely. Now 21.12 well I think we can all see the connection as that album had a conceptial side, hell there is probably even a direct reference in one or more of the songs.

It amazes me how people can be negative about the band they love. After all the decades of creative genius they deserve a little more respect from y'all. Whatever they do it will ultimately be some of us will like it instantly others it will take a little time but in the end it will find its niche in a catalogue of music that has inspired and delighted generations of fans. For me personally I love the two new tracks and I am sure that even if it turned out like Vapour Trails, which if I had to pick an album would be my least liked, I would still be happy that are still with us and still performing.

I have noticed lately that when I switch my laptop off before going to bed windows 7 plays a jingle that reminds me of the Madrigal. The result is I go to bed most nights with Ged in my head singing the line "when dragons grow too mighty" Anyone else have similar experiences? Are Rush fans different from other bands fans? It seems to me that we are not your regular run of the mill music fan. It may be that I am just unaware that other bands have similar devotion and loyalty. Personally I love music and love listening to all kinds of bands and styles but Rush is the only band that seem to make me geeky lol Are we part of a cult? Are we akin to trainspotters? Are we enlightened? What are your thoughts fellow Rush fanatics?

cygnus x1 hemisphere's A farewell

having read some of the choices I began to think I had maybe been a bit rash using my 3 time travels to just Rush gigs but on reflection, yeah there were some great bands and gigs I missed and will never get to see, but All the world album got played to death and nearly everytime I imagined being there, I was only 15 at the time,. Hemisphere's is my fav Rush album(So a no brainer) and I can't wait to hear the rest of Clockwork Angels which is already in my mind going to be on a par with their best. So in conclusion of this long winded reply thanks for making me think and there are some excellent choices but would be happy seeing past and future Rush.

For me I would have to be at All the worlds a stage gig, then a Hemisphere's tour not sure which venue but I would love to have seen this album performed. And for my final trip a jump forward to the CA tour we hope will be coming.

I was in block B about 10 rows back and I agree the first set did start a bit shakily but didn't spoil it for me each venue has its own perculiralities. This was all sorted by the 2nd set and Rush took us all on a time trip. I saw them at the MEN for the R30 show and the stage looked bigger for that tour. This time the set up reminded me of a post card or picture it just looked so framed. The lighting rig came to life like a f***ing transformer. Neil's drum solo included sounds which I am sure we will hear on the new album. Got back to the hotel after an amazing show with my two best bud's got talking to some real live Rush chicks (Two very nice young ladies from Leeds) and all in all had a great experience. Thanks Rush for still being alive, still making great music and sharing your talents with us lesser mortals

Went on the MEN website just after 9 this morning, best tickets available blocks 107 and 111. Any further back and you would be in the street. Any way i only live about 20 minutrs from the MEN so went down on the train and got 2 tickets in BLOCK B . which is at the front in the center of the stage, also meant i avoided ticketbastards extortionate booking fees. How much did you pay logo5961 if you don't mind me asking?
