  1. The weapon is code name for Tom Sawyer. It's a marketing weapon. :)
  2. Be nice. It's a decent article with one error. Pfft. Maybe it's just me but IMO it's pretty bad journalism if you make a mistake that could easily have been corrected by visiting the relevant official site and/or wikipedia page. This is a news paper and not some Joe Blow blog.
  3. It just occurred to me that maybe that's how they want us to remember them. Rush, like every other band (really, how many times, if ever, have you heard any band say they like their old songs better than their new ones???), thinks their most recent album is the best yet. I agree but I'd like at least 2 tracks they haven't played in a very long time or not played at all. There are no deep cuts aside from Jacob's Ladder. The rest of the set is just their greatest hits. The CA tour was fantastic with how many cool songs they pulled out. Can't we have a tiny iota of that played every night?
  4. I'm really hoping that most of this is just stuff playing in video clips. What happened when Alex said they really dug deep? This is the setlist I'd imagine them playing if they were going to be a nostalgia band and just bring out old tunes. Also, as much as I love CA, there are way too many CA songs for a farewell tour.
  5. And that's one of the reasons why I loved it. It's a much more serious version of the original and it assumes you know and understand the setup so it just throws you into plot.
  6. http://i1.wp.com/bitcast-a-sm.bitgravity.com/slashfilm/wp/wp-content/images/International-Avengers-Age-of-Ultron-Poster-700x989.jpg?resize=700%2C989 Horribly photoshopped poster, fantastic movie.
  7. Sadly he wasn't in the episode of Corner Gas where Colin James and The Tragically Hip showed up. So many famous Canadians appeared on that show but not a single member of Rush...
  8. This is great. When I used to watch TV I'd only care about Space and Discovery (which they seriously need to rename nowadays). I know a few of my friends will likely just have the channel which airs Game of Thrones.
  9. This little joke: A Stormtrooper and a Red Shirt get into a firefight. The Stormtrooper misses every shot, and the Red Shirt still dies.
  10. Anything as long as it isn't horribly compressed.
  11. I just saw this movie. The trailers looked horrible. I got dragged to it. I loved it. It starts off unsure of whether it wants to make fun of old bond movies or be one and eventually finds its footing and ends up being a really great movie. Makes me wish new Bond movies were still over the top but this is the next best thing. Anyone else see it?
  12. They're showing it on channels that aren't FX now? Cool. However it always baffles me how people freak out over sex...and this is cartoon sex to boot yet shows like Criminal Minds can play during prime time and no one bats an eye... because that kind of stuff is natural and okay for kids to see right? Some of the most disgusting things I've seen in any medium (video games, TV, movies) have come from that show.
  13. "Let's just say the garden gnomes didn't take kindly to being replaced by flamingos...." AWWW YISSS CAPTION GAME IS BACK
  14. By the sound of the articles I've seen on my facebook feed he'll be fine. I think it's cool and all that he flies antique planes but I mean... IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM.
  15. I saw it on Netflix. It's absolutely hilarious. Has season 6 or whatever it was after Archer Vice started?
  16. As funny as it is, he's violated the prime directive plenty of times. By the time data was on trial to see whether he was property or not it was mentioned he violated it nine times. But I bet it wasn't for the same reasons that Kirk would have violated it, e.g. a woman. Nah. He did it for unimportant things like morality. This fool of a captain... always trying to do what's right instead of trying to do the women.
  17. Agreed. Except I thought he was poor in Star Trek. It seemed he was playing a Bond villain rather than Khan. I hope he'll do better in Dr. Strange. He has the look for the part, but I'm not certain he has anything else.
  18. As funny as it is, he's violated the prime directive plenty of times. By the time data was on trial to see whether he was property or not it was mentioned he violated it nine times.
  19. Stealing this. Ditto. This is a beautiful image worthy of several acres of fields devoid of f***s.
  20. I watched it a few weeks ago, and while I thought it was cool, 99% of the hype is because of how it was filmed. Story-wise, I didn't find it particularly inspired. Unless the director's point was how ordinary life is. I'm pretty sure it was the point of the movie but at the same time the viewer needs someone to relate to -- they need a window into the world created by the movie usually via the protagonist. In this case I really couldn't care less about anyone in the movie past the halfway point. The protagonist was a t.w.a.t by that point. EDIT: TW-AT is censored, are you kidding me?
  21. The largest cult in Canada. Habs fans. http://tortues.courseapied.net/photos/4870-montreal_fans.jpg
  22. I was shocked to learn about this today. It's like it just happened. I think 83 is a good number to go at, but it's still sad. Rest in Peace.
