  1. Have to join the rest of the chorus in saying.... "OUTSTANDING!" I like your modesty about the camera, but a camera is just like a guitar, just because you have a good guitar (A Gibson ES-355, for instance) - it doesn't mean you can play like Alex!
  2. Very upset about the "cool" front that's supposed to hit tomorrow. I was hoping these 100 degree days would last for another 4-5 weeks! Dang it!!
  3. Same thing for Alex in Wichita. A BEAST on Working Man...WOW! Did any of you catch if he did the 'added' quick pick scratch thing on the main riff in Witch Hunt during your show? He did in Wichita and it sounded phenomenal! That boy has blazin' hands!
  4. I agree with the comments about Wichita being a fantastic show. I loved the KC show, but being an Alex fan....obviously...as I posted about KC, Alex seemed a little distracted that night. His playing was solid...but he wasn't 'into it'. In Wichita, Alex was INTO IT! That second set was perhaps the finest 1.5 hours of solid playing I've ever heard....from ANY band. With the single nick being that Alex got off in Camera Eye for about 10 seconds, everything else was GOLD from all three. Hell, even Time Stand Still sounded great and I am not a big fan. I've....NEVER....heard Witch Hunt like I heard it in Wichita. Alex had this little 'scratch' thing going on between the riffs and then on Working Man the other two boys just let him loose and he went frickin' NUTS on his solo. WOW! What a night. I was 'thinking' about Tulsa b4 Wichita.....now, I am GOING to Tulsa, come hell or high water. Amazing! BTW - for those of you who haven't been yet....Caravan live is going to blow you away. That song just WORKS in so many ways live and the backdrop/graphics/lighting is PERFECT...almost 3D.

  7. QUOTE (RodrigoAltaf @ Aug 2 2010, 11:10 AM)QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 2 2010, 08:19 AM) IMHO I think they will keep the following songs! Caravan BU2B Tom Sawyer The Spirit of Radio Freewill Limelight 2112 Far Cry Anything Else is pure Speculation. Ditto. And as for Natural Science, they've been playing the shortened version (without Alex's a$$-kickin', finger tapping second solo) for years now...I bet they're keeping Jacob's Ladder for next year's tour. Ditto. Ditto. Although, I'm thinking Subdivisions might have been moved into the 'regulars' spot even though I could do without it again.

  9. QUOTE (Gompers @ Jul 30 2010, 05:33 AM) Apparently this whole Law of Attraction thing is what "The Secret" is about. Correct.
  10. My wife and I have no children, so every year the son of her youngest sister comes to stay with his Uncle Greg and Aunt Dierdre for a week. He's 11 now. Last night, I took a chance on Clash of the Titans knowing that was one I'd feel okay with all of us watching. WOW! I don't know if it was that my expectations were really low or that is what that good (maybe a bit of both), but it was a really good movie. The acting was suprising solid from some pretty big name stars. The musical score was perfect. The cinematography and special effects were first rate! A definite RENT IT! from me.
  11. ....at least some of them anyway. Here they are You'll see a pic of what looks like Neil's drums in the upper left part of the site labeled, Live & Corporate. Scroll over the button. Then select, 'Live Design by project'.
  12. I'd rather have a tooth drilled than go on a bike ride on a cool, wind-free morning in late July.
  13. Bizarre! Just saw this movie again last night and this morning...here is this thread. One of the all time greats. Superb acting, cinematography, music score and amazing realism. In fact, it may be worthy of being in a Best War Movie list.
  14. A 'not all that good' nutty buddy type ice cream "treat"
  15. Sorry to hear that! Understandable, but I know that's got to be a hard one. Sorry, man!

Really happy for you about your experience! AWESOME!!
  18. Agreed! Caravan was fantastic live!! Looking foward to hearing it live again in less than a month. I was up close as well and I'm actually kinda pumped about sitting back a bit on my next visit for this tour. I know I missed a lot of 'the show' the first time. It'll be like experiencing a whole new gig!

  21. QUOTE (Rush Cocky @ Jul 16 2010, 01:35 PM) The Spirit Of Radio This one. I have heard this song countless times and have never tired of it. For me, this is THE classic of classic 'radio '. The often word-juggled title, The Spirit of Radio. In a bad mood, pop this in and experience the bad mood disappearing act! Never fails!
