  1. I think there should be an option for none. I guess if I had to vote, I would say Driven. There are a lot of good songs on this album, but there is a collection of some of my least favorite songs topped only by most of the RTB album. Dog Years may top RTB as my least favorite Rush song ever.
  2. I can not believe that this album is 8 years old! Where did the time go? It seems like yesterday I was saving my money because I knew that both Rush and Yes were releasing albums in September of 1987 (Should have saved my money on the Yes release). 8 years! hard to take in.
  3. A lot of talk about those rabbits. Hopefully there will be no Dreamline or Red Sector A. The lazers would be ok. I would love to see the doubleneck Rick, though I am sure that it is too cumbersome if he even still has it.
  4. Roger Waters and David Gilmour maybe...unfortunately, Rick Wright would not be able to be part. I like my Floyd as one and pre-72.
  5. I would love to hear them end the first set with Vital Signs. That would be fantastic.
  6. Grand Designs? Really? Anthem>LVS>In the Mood would do it for me.
  7. I am taking my 11 year old son to his second Rush show. We were in the 12th row on Geddy's side back in 08. He was blown away the first time that he saw Geddy come out. His favorite song is Witch Hunt and he is excited that they are going to play it again.
  8. I had to think about this because I never gave it much thought. 86, 87, 94 (this was cool-I was up a level and could look down on Geddy), 97, 07, 08 Geddy's side. 90, 90 Alex's side. 91, 96, 02, 04-center. I don't think that it matters for me. I have been close (first 10 rows) and I have been super far away (back of the Fleet Center in Boston. I prefer to be somewhere where the sound is good and so far that has been at SPAC.
  9. Yes, work's the reason for me as well. Travelling from Utica area. Hopefully getting there in time to find a good spot on the lawn. We are not inside this year. Hoping there is no rain.
  10. You're probably right. Now I am not sure if it was 07 or 08. There was so much time between tours previous to these that the last two are fading together. I can't remember if I heard TWTWB at soundcheck or not. For some reason all I remember is Subdivisions, though I know there was more. I will be at SPAC this year though I don't know if I will be that early this time.
  11. I wouldn't even pay that much if they could figure out how to reunite Zeppelin with Bonham....Even if I was WarrenBuffett-rich I would not spend that much on tickets on principle.
  12. I heard the soundcheck at the spac show on the last tour. I must have been standing near you, ilovegeddy05, because your description is kind of what i remember (minus the Neil arrival-must have arrived a bit later). I remember subdivisions and I know they played a few others but I can't remember. It was around 5 or so-maybe a bit earlier. I was with my son who was 9 at the time (He will be there with me in July). I was glad that the parking attendant let us in early. It was quite memorable.
  13. I think that this will be fine. It will still sound good...
  14. I'm sorry, I miscounted. This will be fourteen.
  15. This tour will bring up the tally to a dozen or so since PoW. When I saw them in the fall of 87, they were with MSG. That was on the east coast though. I can understand why you might not remember if it was them. Totally unmemorable opening act. Sorry, Mike. liked you in the scorps though.
  16. "Unfunny asshats" is my new favorite term! thanks. I don't care if they fall out of a Mr Ding-a-ling truck as an intro.
  17. I will be at SPAC and the NYS fair. Was going to only do one this tour but my friend called with an extra ticket for SYR. The venue is only 40 minutes or so away....gotta go to the show.
  18. God...when they did that Xanadu/Superconductor thing. Man, how I do not like that Superconductor thing...
  19. Thinkin bout yous working up my appetite...thanks, it took the better part of the 70s to get that song out of my head. If you are not careful, I shall post some Barely Manenough lyrics...
  20. I went for the lawn for me and my 11 year old-His second Rush show! Couldn't handle the almost 300 bucks that would have put us up front.
  21. R30 opening seemed like a eulogy to me. Just saying. Spirit would being me back to the days of my first Rush concert experiences.
  22. I used to love that ending. Somewhere I have one of those HYF balloons. They had Rush printed on them the same way it was on the HYF album. November 87-Utica, NY...23 years ago! Damn!
  23. Middletown! Countdown! AFTK! Yes, I know I will get some flak for this...Cinderella Man
  24. I have to agree. There was a kind of magic concerning the concert night. I wrote the entire Presto setlist on my jeans so that my friend who could not go would know exactly what they played.
  25. Dreamline would be not missed. Spirit would...by me. Force 10 is not missed. Though I would rather hear Dreamline than Red Sector A. Never cared to much for that one though I love Grace.
