  1. What if Alex and Geddy were sportin' big clock necklaces aka Flava Flav?
  2. As long as it's not Red Sector A. That song just never did it for me.
  3. Although Rush's 90's material may not have lived up to your standards, I personally think that Counterparts (the nuts & bolts album) blows away Vapor Trails and Snakes and Arrows. That's right........I said it!
  4. QUOTE (SiriusRushFan @ May 27 2010, 12:09 PM) Well, I have always hoped they would do a '2012 - 100 years prequel' tour of some type. Maybe play the whole 2112 album on that tour, like they are doing with MP this tour. I still like my idea of it being kind of prequel to 2112 but your suggestion of playing all of 2112 would be awesome too.
  5. QUOTE (Tarkus407 @ May 27 2010, 05:47 AM) I think you're reaching a little too far....for the bottle.... Nah I'm kiddin Well I was drinking when I came up with the theory.
  6. A prequel to 2112? The album is coming out in 2011 and the tour could take them into 2012 possibly. The 100 years earlier could be more than a coincidence. Am I reaching here?
  7. QUOTE (losingit2k @ May 13 2010, 02:12 PM) Well I guess we will all agree that the show will begin with some "Time Machine Movie Starring Alex or the Guys! Then they'll keep flashing the year and the album cover for which the next song will be. I also expect to see pics of the guys around those year being shown. Now its when it could get creative. News clips form the year of the song being played, Lighting to reflect the same, Maybe bringing back different stuff like the Giant Rabbits from Presto, Countdown on HD screen would be cool with the fog machines. Lazers of course during Dreamline or Red sector A. Any thoughts or should I just sram! I really like the idea of the year being flashed on the screen with possibly news headlines of that year or pictures of events during that time period. There's a lot the boys could do with this tours theme and I hope they live up to the challenge. Would love to see Neil's MP era drum set make an appearance!
  8. QUOTE (mazyyz @ May 12 2010, 09:56 PM) QUOTE (syd11 @ May 12 2010, 01:32 PM) Had secretly been growing back the handle bar mustache for the Time Machine tour? Stupid topic, I know. Just really bored today. Why don't you grow one in honor of him? Sure, no problem. I should be able to grow one by the 2014 tour!

  10. QUOTE (PermanentDave's @ May 10 2010, 06:12 PM) A member over at a drum forum I frequent that has been privy to seeing Neil's new kit and some of the songs that will be played, has stated over on that forum that Marathon will be making a return to the setlist. I like Marathon a lot, but like Grand Designs, Emotion Detector, Middletown Dreams, and Territories a little better. Wow.....anything else you can share about the setlist?
  11. Working Man - w/medley La Villa Strangiato
  12. I'm ok with them shortening the song slightly. I did get to see it twice on the MP tour and think they can pull it off without wrecking the integrity of the song. I personally find Jacob's Ladder a little long in the middle also but am glad they're playing it. I do believe because of Camera Eye & JL being played that it won't leave room for any of the other longer songs they've played such as Xanadu, Natural Science, Working Man or Bytor unless they are also abbreviated.

  14. QUOTE (FootballYouBet @ May 4 2010, 01:55 PM) You thought RUSH Premium & VIP ticket package prices were bad? Roger Waters/The Wall tour is selling VIP for $750, and Premium for $500 per ticket. And to that I say FU Roger you greedy prick, I hope The Wall falls on your head and crushes your skull! ditto
  15. Here's something I don't think anyone has brought up. Since it's believed that MP will be played completely and in order how about after 2 - 90 minute sets they start their encore(s) with Tom Sawyer and then play all of MP. Is anyone else up for a 45+ minute encore??? (BTW: I know this will never happen but one can dream)
  16. None of the songs listed. Their best opening song was Bastille Day period!
  17. Your best bet to meet up with othe Rush fans for the Milwaukee show is to just show up early at the Summerfest grounds and go to the side stage just outside the Marcus Amphitheater. Rush tribute band Animate is playing there from 3 - 7pm and you'll have no problem finding other Rush fans to mingle with there. I'll be the one wearing the Starman hat!
  18. I actually know that when someone sells tickets on Stubhub that they ask if the seller wants to list the seat numbers or keep them hidden from the buyer. I bought my most recent tickets for Rush on Stubhub and the seller had the seat numbers listed. If they aren't listed, I don't think you have a way to find out actual seats.
  19. I ordered my Rush tickets through the Music Today presale and a buddy of mine just bought them through Ticketmaster when they went on sale to the general public. He received a notice last week that they had been printed and they came in the mail yesterday. I seem to remember when I bought tickets for the S&A tour that they didn't send me the tickets until like 3 weeks before the show. Does anyone know the reason why Music Today waits so long to ship them? I may be jumping the gun and they could arrive this week but I'm guessing not until June.
  20. I agree that the shuttle bus is the way to do Summerfest on July 3rd. Just a reminder that the Rush tribute band Animation will be playing also on the 3rd from 3 - 7pm so get there early if you can.
  21. QUOTE (toonz @ Apr 27 2010, 02:00 PM) I will be at the Milwaukee show as well, although I don't have tickets yet. Past experience has shown that lower section tickets get released as the show gets closer. Last time around, I picked up 10th row in Section 3. The only problem I have is waiting until the last minute to get the tickets. I don't like not knowing if I can get decent seats or not and would prefer to have some tickets in hand right now. I've already spoken to a broker in Milwaukee and the prices aren't terrible. Around $200 for Section 2 20-25 rows back.... Hopefully, the closer the show gets, the lower the price goes. I'm hoping that we are at the high water mark for ticket prices. Being the 3rd show on the tour helps as well. See you there... Hey toonz, I hope you're right and wish you luck in getting tix. I did just see 4 tickets listed for $199ea. in Sec. 2 Row EE and near the center on Stubhub. That's where I bought my tickets because I couldn't wait until the last minute for fear of being stuck on the sides or way far back. The way I look at it for the Milwaukee show is you're not just paying for the concert since the ticket price includes admission to all of Summerfest and you can check out a ton of bands before Rush takes the stage.
