  1. QUOTE (Alph Seeker @ Sep 15 2010, 10:36 PM) We need footage of Working Man. I tell you, that is where you saw Alex go from joking to irritated - his neck was red as a friggin' tomato during his solo, which he SMOKED - he was venting for sure. I may have read it wrong, but I thought I saw some none-too-pleased glances between him and Neil, all the while Geddy was the cool constant. The looks may very well have been 100% directed at the equipment failures, but they were off synch badly at one point. Ah ha so they were lost at one point in the middle of Working Man...I was sitting there with my buddy and I said to him "I'm not sure about you but I'm lost". He turned to me and said yeah, I think they are too.
  2. QUOTE (orangefan244 @ Sep 15 2010, 10:58 AM) Watching the YouTube videos, they really brought it last night. No offense to Boston, but I was hoping my Syracuse show was going to be the best :-) I guess there's no such thing as a "bad" Rush concert! They were so good that one of my least favorite songs, "Working Them Angels", was one of the best songs they played all night.
  3. I was there 13th row center. Alex had guitar problems throughout much of the 2nd set, intermittently not being able to hear himself, going back and forth from the stage to side stage, despite his guitar being present in the FOH mix. And yes at one point then there was no guitar in FOH for almost an entire song. Then when they went into the La Villa intro, Geddy and Neil played the intro repeatedly while the techs worked to try to get Alex's guitar working again, trying 3 different cables. It was actually very funny at this point as they played the intro over and over for several minutes. After a while Alex started making up his own lyrics that went along with the La Villa intro, "Still no guitar"...eventually the crowd joined in too. Funny as hell. I also thought I heard him singing "I wish my guitar would work" too. I don't know who these techs were but these kids looked like dopey 18 year old kids who didn't know a guitar cable from from an Xbox cable. Alex actually introduced one of them saying "this is my new tech". I thought the way Alex handled it was awesome. It actually added some spontaneity to the show.
  4. You're reading way to much from Alex's comment.
  5. You are not the first person to complain about Ged's voice on Closer to the Heart for this tour. Unfortunately the FWTK vocal range is gone from Ged's voice, and has been gone for a long time. That said, I'd still rather hear them do the song anyway.
  6. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Aug 25 2010, 10:52 AM) QUOTE (FootballYouBet @ Aug 25 2010, 07:52 AM) Let me see if I got this straight. You had legit tickets for the show and a scalper sold the same seats illegitimately AND then came in and told you you had to "double up" because he sold bogus tickets? And Security backed him up? WTF??? What is RR? Yep! He has some kind of scam going on over there. I just cant figure out who to call to report his ass. The time to do something about it would've been at the show. I would not have allowed to be doubled up, would've demanded that security remove these people, and if security refused to do so I would've done it myself and also would've gone further up the chain of command to complain. At this point I would try to gather as much info about this David guy as you can (what is his connection to Live Nation?) and try to get him to refund your money. If he refunds your money I'd let him off the hook. If he doesn't, then I would do everytihng in your power to make his life miserable. That's why I suggest you try to figure out who he is and what exactly happened so that you can screw him if he doesn't refund your money.

  8. QUOTE (Ron2112 @ Aug 24 2010, 05:31 AM) They should have made a point of giving one to everyone EXCEPT that Langone douche..... Peace, Ron Actually I bet that Langone douche was a factor in Rush's decision to give away those hats.
  9. QUOTE (fool4rush @ Aug 20 2010, 09:59 AM) Not me, i was on Geddy's side Sounds like what might have happened to you was probably a result of other people, meaning that once they started having problems in the front rows security started to clamp down on the crowd in front in general, and became less tolerant of certain behavior. That said I have a hard time believing thatg they yanked you for absolutely no reason...
  10. You weren't that chick that at Red Rocks, was $hitfaced up front taking tons of pictures and being rude by constantly moving into other people's seats to take the pictures were you? The one that Alex was yelling at? If you are that chick, then all I can do is say that you had it coming to you. See this Utube video and the comments on it. Did you get removed right before the encore?
  11. Bringing a kid to a rock concert is like bringing a kid to a bar. The kid really doesn't belong there, and a room full of adults shouldn't have to cater to the kid because of some dumb ass parent who thinks he's being cool by bringing his kid. You wanna bring your kid to the show? Fine. Just don't act like a total f***ing wanker by making people sit down. And don't be surprised when people sitting right next to your kids spark a joint either.
  12. QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Aug 5 2010, 12:49 PM) QUOTE (ILSnwdog @ Aug 5 2010, 11:57 AM) Awesome. I'll be at the Chicago show on the 23rd! Hey Krinkle...Is that Malnati's or Gino's East in your sig? Lou's! Ha I knew it was Lou's. I live in Boston now and had a couple of pies shipped to me last week. They pack them in dry ice and overnight them to you.
  13. I got home from work today and both of my VIP merch packages were waiting for me. Yippee! The Rush shirt is actually kind of cool even though it's not a tour shirt. Not impressed with the poster. Would've been worth framing if it was bigger and if the Owl wasn't cut off so much. Can't wait to watch the second DVD of the Doc.
