  1. QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Aug 15 2011, 09:21 PM) QUOTE (Earthshine @ Aug 15 2011, 08:38 AM) They should use them again. That and the Polymoog. Rush used a Polymoog? I wonder what album that's on... Mini Moog...
  2. QUOTE (bigman208 @ Aug 14 2011, 09:39 AM) The last album they were used on was in fact Hold Your Fire. You can defintely hear the Taurus in Mission, as well as Time Stand Still believe it or not. I stand corrected. Havent listened to HYF for awhile. And, yes they did make a return with S&A, but I don't hear the classic Taurus sound like on earlier recordings. I like their usage for The Trees.
  3. QUOTE (driventotheedge @ Aug 11 2011, 12:32 PM) QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Aug 11 2011, 07:44 AM)http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll215/TPesch2112/HarryandRyno-2.jpg Cubs win!! Cubs win!! . . . . (like I care) As long as the beer is flowing and there are bars surrounding Wrigley, most of the fans don't either.
  4. QUOTE (GUP1771 @ Aug 13 2011, 10:02 PM) Do you think they should return? They should have never left.
  5. Power Windows was the last album for the Taurus Pedals. Unless they used them for some sections of HYF. I think by the time they got to Presto they were using the midi bass/synth pedals.
  6. It's already old news that they said they would return to the studio in SEPTEMBER.
  7. QUOTE (RUDT @ Aug 13 2011, 10:08 AM) Geddy was at the game last night in Toronto. We saw his face with his usual sunglasses. Didn't seem to be with another celebrities, not on the femalde side for sure. But i said to myself : What is doing there watching the poor Blue Jays loose again while there is a album to finish... I thought these guys were in studio night and day... A few hours at the park are sometimes better than a few hours behind the mixer. If you spend too much time doing one thing, it could get stale. People need a break when doing tedious things over and over. Sometimes, no matter what, you can go into the studio all set to go and then find out once you're in there after awhile that it isn't your day that day. Maybe Geddy wanted a break. I say he can do that whenever he wants to. The album will be out before you know it. Tempus fugit.

  12. The Wal's sound like no other, that's for sure. And they aren't a lightweight bass either.

  16. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 25 2011, 01:47 PM) QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jul 25 2011, 01:40 PM) a lot of Parallels love I love it! And I was psyched that Yes played it on the tour with Benoit David. It's actually a very good song lyrically, too. Squire says it's about a universal kind of love; the lyrics describe this love as "an ever-opening flower." That's beautiful! Parallels is the first Yes tune I learned to play, way back in 1981.

  20. I must have listened to this album a dozen times now. The vocals are stellar and some of the harmonies are just incredible. I'm digging Squire's backup vocals on Life On A Film Set This is just good music, period. Alan White: "Funnily enough, Chris has since told me, that it is the 1st time on any Yes album that everyone in the band actually likes it!" http://www.bondegezou.co.uk/wnyesm.htm
