  1. Watched this via netflix last night with my wife. Hoffman was simply spooky in his spot-on portrayal of this odd little man. Loved the ambiguity of this film; you sympathize with everyone and no one. A tragic example of an artist so consumed by his creation, it becomes his undoing. Just an amazing film. I'm curious to know how much sales of Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood have spiked in the last year or so.
  2. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ May 30 2006, 08:24 AM) QUOTE (LonelyHiker @ May 30 2006, 10:36 AM) By extension, any movie staring Doug McClure, B-movie actor extrohd'naire In all honesty, i wouldn't class Doug McClure as a B-Movie actor... more ZZZZ-movie We'll just have to agree to disagree then, eh
  3. Any Roger Corman flick! By extension, any movie staring Doug McClure, B-movie actor extrohd'naire Piranha & Humanoids from the Deep are two particularly good popcorn crunchers - pure Wisconsin cheddar...
  4. Rossini's William Tell Overture - A Clockwork Orange Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 2, The Romantic - Alien E. John's Saturday Night's Alright For Fightin' - Fandango Wagner's Prelude to Tristan and Isolde - Excalibur
  5. QUOTE Curious: Aside from Dog Years and Neurotica, does Rush ever curse in thier songs anywhere else? Some would consider "christ, what have you done?" from The Pass a curse - aside from that, I honestly can't think of any other instances.
  6. Coming in a little late to this poll, but I have to vote for Hanks (although de Niro is a close second). The man is the Jimmy Stewart of our generation, IMO.
  7. Alien Shadowlands Casablanca Nosferatu (Murnau's masterpiece, not Herzog's crappy remake) Hamlet (Branagh's uncut version)
  8. I like the tune just fine! "....we've lost our senses...for the higher level static of talk"... Corny lyrcs? I don't think so! While T4E isn't my favorite Rush album, it certainly ranks in the top third.
  9. QUOTE (RushGuru @ Jan 14 2005, 11:19 PM) One of my very favorites. Alien Sorry for the slow response! Business trip... You are correct! One of my all-time favorites too... Go, RushGuru!
  10. All right, this one's probably ridiculously easy, but what the hey - I've been racking my brain too darn long: "If we ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space..."
  11. QUOTE 'You're lucky...he's lucky...I'm lucky...we're all lucky.' The Rocky Horror Picture Show
  12. Big whoops....I have read & understand - sorry!
  13. QUOTE 'I know you did see that once upon the Lupercal I did thrice present him with a kingly crown, which he did thrice refuse.' Julius Caesar
  14. Dang! That was fast! Yes, you are correct. I know'd I shoulda made it harder! Yer up Slaine!
  15. Alright, I'm game... Who are the only two actors to win the Best Actor Academy Award and subsequently turn down the award? Name the actors & the films they won for.
