  1. typical english day, grey and dull with a bit of rain, still when summer is in full swing no better place than down south
  2. leave that thing alone would love to hear those bass lines live
  3. thanks for the link, very cool
  4. if true this would be an epic setlist, all except the encore, never end a rush concert with fly by night!
  5. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Apr 1 2010, 09:16 AM) QUOTE (KevinDallas @ Apr 1 2010, 08:10 AM) The intro videos during the last few tours have been awesome so I expect the same on the next tour. I'm sure they'll do something with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel from I Love You, Man. Maybe they'll do the scene with Paul Rudd while he's trying to describe to his fiance. "I slap-a-da-bass man!" I'm sure there will be some surprises with the videos but I think I Love You, Man will definitely be a major player. I sure f**king hope not. That is amongst the shittiest, gayest movies I've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously. How can any Rush fan not like I Love You Man???? such a hilarious film which has also raised the bands popularity and awareness to a younger audience (much needed) I think alot of Rush fans need to lighten up just a little.
  6. QUOTE (KevinDallas @ Apr 1 2010, 08:23 AM) QUOTE (The Main Monkey Business @ Apr 1 2010, 08:16 AM) agree completely, i could just see Paul Rudd on a huge screen saying "i'm slappin da bass mon" and then geddy opening with some epic bass line - would work perfectly. No matter who or what are in their videos they will be awesome - I wonder if they have spoken to John Cleese again???? I cannot wait Pardon my ignorance but what is the story with John Cleese? Rush approached John Cleese (of Monty Python) to do the rap at the end of Roll the Bones but he wasn't available so geddy did it.

  8. i didn't enjoy it personally, far too long IMO, action was great though
  9. test for echo geddy taking the piss out of rap and gangsters
  10. heavy snow forecast for UK - mixed feelings
  11. apart from the pass i've always thought this was a very poor album
  12. Madrigal is awesome, short and powerful song, Geddy nails the vocals too, perfect song to alter the pace of the album before it leads into Cygnus X-1
  13. It's fair to say that Rush collectively smoked weed for sure and most likely tripped on LSD occasionally (although I think Geddy and possible Alex stayed clear of LSD), but it was the 70s and seen as a tool in the music industry allowing for inspiration and freedom to write / produce great music, no different to a bodybuilder using steroids back in the 70s as at the time it was acceptable and seen as an aid. What Rush managed to do under the influence though is what other bands failed to, and that was to stay in control all the time and come up with some of the most amazing epic songs and remain focused on their goal. Neil was clearly the more LSD inclined member in his youth having played in a band previously titled "LSD forever" and references in COS are evident such as 'draw another goblet from the cask of 43', also apparently at the end of cygnus X-1 the voyage you can hear an irrational, heavy paced heartbeat induced by LSD which is apparently Neils although I am not too sure about this. But lets not get too fixed on this hangup otherwise we all end up believing that idiot on the net - egodeath
  14. Las Vegas, I loved that show, they did a few series to be fair but then suddenly stopped.
  15. The Greem Mile, Con Air, The Rock, Unleashed, Enemy Of The State, The Hangover, I love you man, Terminator 1&2, Predator 1, (anything with Arnie in)
  16. QUOTE (Sonatine @ Nov 30 2009, 08:16 AM) Used to be hardcore, but now demoted down to "Not quite XXX" for various reasons what reasons could suffice a descent from hardcore status?
