Manchester by the Sea. Very powerful and touching film. Felt homesick during the whole viewing. I love New England. Performances were spot on with regard to the Boston culture imo. Casey Affleck was a well deserving oscar winner.

OMG OLDER BANDS PLAYING WITH NOT ALL THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS OMG SUCH TRAVESTY give me a goddamn break. Members of Foreigner over the years. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/timeline/1d999b324130f4f5c3fc324492e13a4b.png 4 Bassists ...4 Keyboardists.. 10 DRUMMERS!.. Foreigner has this revolving door band member thing down to a science

Filler track on Ozzy's album Blizzard of Ozz?
Xanadoood replied to Texas King's topic in Music Of The Spheres
When I think of filler, I look to bands like Journey and Foreigner, who relied on a few radio hits to carry an album. -
Bill was quite the music fan it seems. Very cool. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/suicidal-tendencies-frontman-pays-tribute-to-his-late-friend-bill-paxton/

Rate VH album 1984 and name the weakest track
Xanadoood replied to Texas King's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Girl Gone Bad?! Lord almighty.. I have to disagree big time there. I'd go with I'll Wait , but even that isn't weak. I like every track. -
Iommi overall for influence and riffs. But Randy was special. I know it's a cliche to overhype musicians who pass on way too soon, but Rhoads truly was a unique player from his generation. Not a bad song, riff or solo on both those Ozzy albums. What's so amazing about Rhoads is how mature he sounded right out of the gate.

I think you overestimate. How about Diver Down? Half of album tracks is filler. Diver Down's reputation suffers from all the cover songs. That's too bad, because I think it has some of Eddie Van Halen's best moments. "Cathedral" and "Intruder" and "Little Guitars Into" are fabulous. The music for "Dancing in the Streets" practically makes it an original. And the original songs are among Van Halen's best. Diver Down only came about because of Pretty Woman. They released it as a one off single, it did incredibly well, so management wanted a full album. It sounds rushed, but that's part of its charm. It's a damn fun album.

Not even close. VH by a mile. Not even in the same universe.

Yeah the Kingdom peeps are just cartoonish. I look forward to the impending battle with Negan , but I find the characters silly at this point. But.. I've watched the show for years so..

Drummers tend to judge other drummers on groove and feel within the context of the music. Someone like Mike Mangini runs circles around Bonham from a technical standpoint, but you'd be hard pressed to find more ROCK drummers that prefer him over Bonzo. Bonham had a certain power and groove in his playing that drummers love.

It's just the way technology has evolved. We are all huge music fans, and have spent a whole lot over the years on tapes, vinyl , CDs, tix, merchandise etc..

I agree... that is sad... That's a bit rude. Some don't have the money to burn as you do. All the same I love the idea of this thread! Well, I have close to 500 CDs in my collection. It's just more convenient to utilize the Spotifys of the world these days. I just recently moved, and haven't even unpacked my CDs.

Sadly, i haven't bought any music in quite some time. I listen to Spotify on my phone most of the time. Or Pandora over my Roku.

Why the 70's Aerosmith wasn't on the European radar?
Xanadoood replied to Texas King's topic in Music Of The Spheres
In BTLS, they talk about how shitty Aerosmith treated them when opening on the , I think, COS tour.
