  4. QUOTE (Humanoid Escapee @ Oct 7 2011, 09:06 AM)Thought I'd introduce myself after lurking for a while. Feels good to be among people who can never get fed up with my gushing! Gush away! Just make sure you clean up after yourself... Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth! oh wait, no... Welcome to the Machine! no, that's not right Welcome to the Jungle Baby! hmm, that's closer oh yeah WELCOME TO TRF!!!
  5. oh! but what happens later after Hotch's wife leaves him... I dont want to give anything away...but the psycho in THAT episode?...*shiver* Tim Curry could read the phone book and I'd watch. He's amazing. I dont catch them as currently as I'd like, I'm mostly catching up in reruns, which are on like 3 channels at any given time of day.
  6. Hey Slacker...you slacker you. Good to see you here!
  7. QUOTE (Mara @ Oct 4 2011, 09:35 AM) Yes, it took me a little while to get used to Rossi, but I like him better as well. The show only has room for so many "tormented souls" in the main cast, and right now Hotch occupies that spot. (I do wonder if the writers will give Hotch a new love interest ever? Not sure how that would go over, as one thing I like about the show is that it DOESN'T have any "soap-opera-ish" side plots going on). Infinitely prefer Emily to Elle Greenaway, though. I'm glad they were able to agree on a new contract. I dont know how far into Hotch's married/unmarried life you've gotten to, or what you know, so I wont ruin it. But my thinking is a love interest would be unlikely, but surely interesting on so. many. levels. I like Thomas Gibson, always have, but he really should lighten up just a tiny bit. Much MUCH prefer Emily. Shes so badass without the weepy baggage. I want to be friends with Garcia in the worst way! I've always had a crush on Joe Mantegna, so Rossi usually gets my full attention. But I think I'm a little bit in love with Dr. Reid..who looks so much better with longer hair. But his mind, fictional or not, astounds me. And, well, Derek Morgan is certainly not hard on the eyes. I love his relationship with Garcia...its so infinitely precious.
  8. oh I'm a fan darlin...I AM a fan. I prefer the Joe Mantegna era to the Mandy Patinkin era, but only by a smidge. Some weeks, it gets to the point I cant watch before bed it gets into my psyche so deep. Love all the characters...ALL of them. They are such a well blended team. I have my fave, and my most heartbreaking episodes, and I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the show!
  9. Beth I hear you callin...so I'm sayin hello right now... Welcome to TRF. Snacks are in the cupboards, sodas in the icebox..even in England you're too young for the hard stuff. Careful though, theres a few unsavories here that might sneak you a sip. LOL Still, want to welcome the new Ged Girl! Glad you stepped out of the shadows to join the fray. Enjoy!
  10. Pussy, ass and food...all in one convenient location!

  13. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Sep 20 2011, 09:28 PM) Some of my 80's faves: Obviously the big four by the Fixx - Stand Or Fall, Red Skies, One Thing Leads To Another, and Saved By Zero was my favorite song before Rush came back into the picture. Also gotta give a nod to Queen, so Another One Bites The Dust, Calling All Girls (yes, it was on MTV), Under Pressure, Who Wants To Live Forever Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Bonnie Tyler I Ran and Space Age Love Song - A Flock Of Seagulls Flesh For Fantasy - Billy Idol Burning Flame - Vitamin Z (too obscure)? How Soon Is Now - The Smiths Anything By Howard Jones, fave is Like To Get To Know You Well Forever Young - Alphaville (I liked this well before Napoleon Dynamite - it was originally in a movie about a debate team) On The Loose - Saga Out of Touch - Hall And Oates Alive and Kicking - Simple Minds Ah, Leah - Donnie Iris Come Back And Stay - Paul Young Fantasy - Aldo Nova Anything by the Thompson Twins - Doctor, Doctor my fave Only The Lonely and Suddenly Last Summer - The Motels A Little Respect, Chains of Love - Erasure I second 'Til Tuesday, Peter Schilling, Pet Shop Boys And one of my very favorite but obscure 80's songs - What About Me by Moving Pictures (the band, not the album)! If you're from outside of Australia, you've probably never heard this. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head...you're speaking my language on this stuff! Edit: How could I forget Tears For Fears? Just saw a live vid of them and it was...to use an 80's term...AWESOME. You and I are of similar mind when it comes to the 80s. Much to the chagrin of my friends, I'm an 80s music junkie. LOVE Total Eclipse of the Heart and Forever Young. (<--I hate how they've bastardized that song lately...) On the Loose--ack! love it! Alive and Kickin' Like to Get to Know you Well AWWWWWWWWWWsome! Only the Lonley...are you kidding?? Karaoke staple. Mad love for that. AND, I absolutely do remember, WHAT ABOUT ME, and posted it on my FB page not a month ago. as for my own faves, I couldnt even begin to try and narrow it down.
  14. QUOTE (PassTheAmmunition @ Sep 21 2011, 01:28 PM) Thanks everyone for the moral support! Last night was back-to-school night and I had a chance to meet with his teacher after the general presentation when we broke into classroom visits. She pulled me aside and told me that had I never told her that my son was formerly in such a small class and that we had transitional worries, she would have NEVER KNOWN. She said he is completely well-adapted, outgoing and friendly and (she said this with all sincerity) an amazing reader. She said that of the 22 students she tested for GRL exam, he is one of the strongest. She said that whatever school he was at previously, really instilled some great reading skills (credit to him for the interest) and that the only thing she said that she has to do with him is find a way to suppress his urge to write everything in cursive (they arent really getting to cursive until later) but that he really is doing excellent. I left beaming, of course. :-) Kyle! That's great! Aw...I dont know if this is appropriate, but I'M beaming with pride for him too!!!
  15. Will stop reading thread now!! TOTALLY against, this is just my own thing, finding out sex of baby before baby comes! Cant wait to "meet" little one when they arrive!
  16. I'm really just starting to rediscover 90s music, and one of my faves is COLLECTIVE SOUL-HEAVY
  17. I hope everything goes well dear Mara. I promise this will end...it did for me. I struggled through it, no meds. Cant, they scare me even more. I have a purpose in this life, I learned to say "All my needs are met" and not to submerge myself in the peripherals. I'm no superwoman, and I have my moments. I just want you to know, to BELIEVE, it will get better. You are loved. Be well.
