QUOTE (Shirley @ May 27 2011, 11:01 AM) I just ate a whole small jar, courtesy of this thread... It's been known to happen. And then this happens.

I totally need to check out this thread more often. So many things I havent read! I am currently reading WHY WE SUCK...Denis Leary (it is as I expected it would be) WORDS OF LOVE...Quotations from the first blush to the final sigh (beautiful stuff here) HOW TO TEACH LIFE SKILLS TO KIDS WITH AUTISM or ASPERGERS (informative! fun and easy to read) COOL, CALM and COLLECTED, Poems 1960-2000 (keeps me connected to my inner English Major)

Do women actually find the members of RUSH
Queen of Megadon replied to treeduck's topic in New World Women
QUOTE (Rushchick10 @ May 26 2011, 12:28 AM) Where's the option "I'd bang Geddy Lee like a loose screen door in a wind storm?" Because...that would be what I'd pick. Oh no. No no no no no. Would you hang a Picasso on a wall with velcro tabs? Would you wash a Lamborghini with dishsoap and a scrub brush? No, no no. Bang Geddy like a loose screen door in a wind storm? No. Lavish every. single. inch. of the glorious artwork that is Geddy Lee's body til the man could not ever remember such bliss? -
All this RUSH de-virginization...Makes this ol' time RUSH gal weep with joy. Rock on new Rushians, rock on!

PTA honey, you're making absolutely the right decision. Pull him. This is almost a non-decision. You said it yourself, the school will cease to function soon enough if it stays on its present course. You dont want him to be solitary, keeping him in a school with 2 ppl will steer him in that direction. I remember the troubles he had with camp, and so many boys was overwhelming, probably because he hadnt been exposed before to such a garrulous group. You know my son and his nature. His nature is to be solitary. But he HAS to learn to function in groups, in society, with various people. So I have always pushed to have him be part of a public school setting. And you know what? He's still solitary, still keeps to himself. He has a few friends, and isnt really part of too many groups, because that is his nature. My boy is different from yours, but your boy wont change, and you arent forcing him to be something he is not. But you are giving him the opportunity to learn to deal when he has to, because in life, he'll have to. Go for it...I bet he blossoms and adjusts in no time.

My friends husband bought the Kirkland whiskey..cause, well, he just had to when he spotted it. I've tried it. It is a little thin, but it is a more than serviceable rack spirit. It finishes better than it starts.

QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ May 16 2011, 09:33 AM) It is NOT a chick flick That's what I keep hearing. I dont go to movies often, but think I might have to carve out a couple hours for this one.

cool! i think i'd like to see this!

aw damn, it would have totally rocked to see James win! BUT...his not winning frees him from the AI conglomerate. Daughtry went out from Idol at EXACTLY this juncture, and he's fine. Hell, BETTER than fine. It's gonna work out for James, no worries.
-
YES! Thats it...James is fly and all, but not hard edged enough to be metal. But there is a niche for him, and he will have success. Scotty the Body! what Pags said. He's totally going places. Haley...meh. Haley whines after the first song then knocks the sh*t out of the second. Ok, good for you, you can stick out your tounge at the judges. Lauren...yeah, nothin. She's good, but so young. Come back and kick my a** in 5 years. I bet you'll blow the doors down. Steven Tyler is bored. I dont think he's long for the panel.

I suspect there are few cereals I wouldnt like, but I am not a fan of chocolate cereals. bleh. And I will not eat Golden Grahams. blech. That said, my regular go to cereals are Life Special K Strawberry Kashi Heart to Heart and I have recently discovered Quaker Oh's, which is graham, but not nasty like Golden Grahams. These are satisfyingly crunchy and sweet.

QUOTE (Gompers @ May 5 2011, 11:36 AM) I have never paid much attention to AI but I have heard some good things about this rocker James. So I checked out some stuff on the official website. Yup, this kid could make it in the rock n roll world. He most certainly could. He will. I'm almost hoping he doesnt win...the non winners seem to have more creative control.

I totally missed that one! Turned to another channel for commercial, didnt get back in time. Must check youtube!

QUOTE (Zanadoo @ Apr 29 2011, 10:17 AM) QUOTE (Babycat @ Apr 29 2011, 09:33 AM) http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad203/swisscheevious/clockwork_orange.png I can't read this without the Malcolm McDowell voice... Neither can I. I guess I read it about 20 years ago for a Film and Lit class. I find both so mind bogglingly satisfying.

Very happy to hear you are recovering and on your way back!

The wait is killing me! But that it is the end is killing me! DICHOTOMY! I'm so excited for this flick.

^That said.... I have a jar in my cabinet. Never tried it before this year when mom got a 2 for 1 sale, and I was a recipient of the extra. I had no idea what I was missing. On Stella D'Oro breakfast cookies. On fruit. On Rice Krispie Treats. What other grand wonders am I missing in life?

QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 27 2011, 10:05 PM) Nutella frosting: 2 (3.3 oz) pkgs Jello instant pudding - white chocolate flavor 1 - 13 oz jar Nutella 3 c. heavy whipping cream Into a chilled mixing bowl, put heavy cream in and begin to whip. Slowly add dry pudding mix - the mixture will get very stiff & heavy. Add Nutella in 3 steps - if frosting gets too heavy to beat, fold with a spatula. Frost anything with it. Mara. You are evil. This was an unkind thing to do. How will I ever rest without having tasted this lovely confection? To do so I would have to make a full cake to frost. And there are only 2 people in my house, so I would have to eat nearly ALL of said cake and frosting. Not cool Mara. not. cool. at all.

How do you like your Oatmeal?
Queen of Megadon replied to Tarkus406's topic in Food And Wine Aplenty
I like oatmeal! I have 3 boxes of instant original flavor in my cupboard. It's quick, it's filling, I like mine fully cooked mushy and pasty with dried cranberries, made with water not milk. yum! -
QUOTE (Good,bad,andrush @ Apr 27 2011, 06:53 PM) That is all ^ this.
