QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jan 4 2009, 01:10 PM) Sam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=876pmxUFYmY Being a Kinison fan, I thought of this one as soon as I saw this thread. Thanks!
  3. I see you have a couple of mine mentioned already. Tom Cruise. Whatever, dude. Nicholas Cage I can't stand. Shallow as a mud puddle. Winona Ryder. Weirdo. Nicole Kidman. Always looks like she needs to change her tampon. Sorry.
  4. QUOTE (Janie @ Jan 1 2009, 12:52 PM) Where are the 08 awards!?!?!? Do you have an "impatient" category? HEY! You stole my aviator shades! so that's where they went...
  5. I've read reviews that it's better than Live and Dangerous. really? what's your take on it? Johnny the Fox!
  6. I'm waiting , I'll watch it. Bloodwork was ok to good, not stellar. Still, the guy doesn't turn out many duds.
  7. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Dec 21 2008, 06:11 PM) QUOTE (Fridge @ Dec 21 2008, 05:02 PM) To my knowledge there are no (and never have been) any drive-in film theatres in Scotland. Even in summer it would be a fast track to hypothermia and it's hard to watch a film through a rain-filled windscreen I was wondering if there were any drive-ins in Europe, or if they were just a North American thing. Regardless of which ever continent, there are no drive-in theatres up in the more northerly latitudes. Obviously too cold in winter, and not dark enough in summer. I'm guessing its a pretty American thing. The Automotive Culture started in the 1950's... drive in movies, food, etc. For some, part of it was showing up in a cool car. I checked that listing... they can add the Samish Twin to the casualty list, it's been gone a few years now. It's a scrubby looking park and ride. The one pictured on Candlebox's first album closed before that photo was shot. The screen is still there, but its now used for storage of old vehicles. I think the one in Oak Harbor is still there... there's some stories about that one. ... there used to be a guy with a '75 Monte carlo that would show up with a keg in the trunk. One of my roommates listened to a Cheech and Chong album and wanted to try getting smuggled in riding in the trunk of a car.
  8. Yeah, I know... I'm still particularly bummed about Carlin. And Isaac Hayes. I think I'll go put on one of his records.
  9. Celebs... none in TV or the silver screen, but I did meet Lee Dorman (bassist for Iron Butterfly) in '93 or so. They got the band back together and played in Sedro-Wooley, of all places(a small logging town.) Nice guy, polite. Still had his voice. Drinking beer out of a pitcher. Signed my record and talked to me for a bit about Fender basses. Said "hi" to Peter Tork of the Monkees. Met Tiny Tim ("Tiptoe Though the Tulips") when I was a small fry. '69 or '70 or so. At a shopping mall with Santa.
  10. I'm not a X-mas kinda guy, so Bad Santa gets my nod. I just can't go along with all the fluffy good times and good cheer people are supposed to have, so I love the sarcasm and ill will toward men on this one. Still, cut Billy Bob a bit of a break. he did have a soft spot for some poor snotnosed kid and took him to heart.
  11. geddyfan13 is out in orbit past Pluto. He only returns at certain intervals like a comet sighting.
  12. I have a grandson... he's awesome! Congratulations and best wishes!
  13. QUOTE (hunter @ Nov 25 2008, 03:44 PM) QUOTE (EveryNerveAware @ Nov 25 2008, 07:08 AM) http://i2.iofferphoto.com/img/item/504/380/41/o_Banana_Splits.jpg I know it's it's gone now but I had the Banana Splits' autograph from some mall opening or something back then. I got to see Tiny Tim ("Tip-Toe Through the Tulips") and Santa at a mall opening when I was a lil' pup.
  14. QUOTE (rushbass @ Nov 25 2008, 02:01 PM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Nov 24 2008, 11:26 PM) Hey, hey, hey! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WT-fxBNKs8 I've always loved the bass on that song! Me too! It was one of the first things I did on a bass guitar was that sliding intro. I lived in Alaska when I was a kid, so we had a local show called Mother Moose. They featured cartoons from Underdog, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Fractured Fairy Tales and such.
  15. November here has been a suprise of a couple of days here and there of sunshine. Managed to ride a bit, and go search for a job riding around. Hopefully I can weather this unemplyment s**t and still keep my bike or get another one.
  16. Well... I've snuck in my own food. Or whiskey. Buy one of their sodas and top 'er off... Drive ins? I brought a couple of my friends in in the trunk of a '67 'Cuda... hard work for them but they wanted to see if they could pull it off. I like what Steve Wright had to say on getting busted for bringing in food; "the concession prices are outrageous... besides, I haven't had a good barbecue for a while." I guess I'm a bit of a miscreant on this one. At least when I was in my 20's.
  17. Pentagram comes to mind. Bloodrock, especially the early albums with Jim Rutledge on vocals. I don't recommend their later stuff as much. I'm a big fan of Grand Funk Railroad. Even they sold in the millions back in the day, they seem to have slipped into semi-obscurity. I only have a couple of Budgie albums, but I like them and would like to find more.
  18. Not only Friday for me, but unemployment. Got a pizza and a bottle of whiskey...
  19. QUOTE (yes.2 @ Oct 26 2008, 08:10 AM) Anyway, Here's the little motor bike I built early last summer.... I love this thing! It does 60mph!!!!! 80cc!!!!!! DANGER WILL ROBINSON. DANGER!!! http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l178/dblacklab/S6302384.jpg Built it from a kit off of ebay and a bike form the local megamart.... Cool!... but kind of ironic in a way. This is exactly how motorcycles started out being built 100 years ago. I love the classic simplicity.
  20. One of my old friends is coming to visit today. We were roomates in the '70's Palace. We're going to go have a shot of whiskey on the site where it once stood.
  21. It's supposed to be dry this weekend. Maybe I can disappear for an afternoon...
  22. Trick or Treat. Featuring Ozzy , Gene Simmons, and Skippy from Family Ties.
  23. Yeah, we're on the definite downside of the season here. I'll have to bundle up to ride to work.
  24. Check out this crazy s**t! @ www.the fivefivefive.com
  25. I better wait 'til I get the 1200 kit for mine... then, yer on, pal!
