  1. I'm driving up to Albany for that one as well. :hail:
  2. I went with "Caress of Steel", that would just be so surreal.
  3. Great positive story...Congrats on your upgrade! Have a great time at your show. ~Cheers, RGLT
  4. :goodone: Simply fantastic album!
  5. Fogerty's "Centerfield" is a classic. (just got tickets for the Beacon Theatre gig this November). "Cloud Nine" along with The Traveling Wilburys is a definite creative high for George. The gem on your list is Robbie Robertson's first solo album. I have the MFSL version of this and it just sounds amazing. "Showdown at Big Sky" is one of my favourite songs by any artist on any album ever. The line in the song, "Can't predict the future, can't forget the past, feels like any moment could be the last..." just wrecks me every time I hear it.
  6. Rest in peace Tony.
  7. Mika, Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. I also work in a retail envorinment and know how stressful it can be... ...especially when situations such as these arise. ~Peace, RGLT
  8. David Bowie - The Next Day
  9. Horse of a different colour, go for it...if you can put it over the barrier as a way of a "thank you" to the band, or a clever play on words, etc. to make them smile. I agree with the previous post about checking with the venue, you'd hate to get there and have to toss it before going in. Have a great time at your Rush show!
  10. Orianthi is a fine guitarist. She is playing a solo show the night before at Webster Hall in NYC on 17 July. This is the night before the Alice Cooper concert at Beacon Theatre in NYC on 18 July. http://image.pollstar.com/WeblogFiles/pollstar/1201131027581834413_v1.jpg
  11. Amazing song...the whole album, "Give the People What They Want" is simply fantastic! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/cc/Better_Things_cover.jpg
  12. :7up: Happy Birthday Kelly! :7up: http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/5198486/il_570xN.185693256.jpg
  13. Question: Do you know who appreciates signs at concerts more than the band? Answer: The people who purchased seats behind you.
  14. Dear Cygnus Gal. "I'm glad it's your birthday, Happy birthday to you..." http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/10/101779/2631979-beatles_sericel_4.jpg
  15. I have a similar picture of myself somewhere...I'll have to find it and post it here. Seriously, all the best with your goal Mika.
  16. Thanks so much CygnusGal...I'm still buzzing from what a great show it was.
  17. Enjoy the show...the tour is getting great reviews.
  18. I couldn't agree more...the dedications were very touching without bringing the mood down. Also, his story about Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton was good to hear as well. This show really was top of the lot for me.
  19. The show was simply amazing. The band, the sound, the theatrics were all just fantastic. I have waited a lifetime to see Paul McCartney live and last night did not disappoint. That was right up there with one one my most favourite shows of all times. Just check out this set list... 20. A Message From Vivian 06/10/2013 - 09:44 In light of the forthcoming European and North American dates from Def Leppard, guitarist Vivian Campbell felt it would be right to let the band's supporters know that he is currently in recovery from cancer. Vivian says, “I feel fortunate that my cancer sent me an alarm call in the form of ‘the cough that wouldn’t quit’. Otherwise, how would I have known? After several months of trying every inhaler known to man, my doctor finally had me X-rayed. A further CAT scan revealed that enlarged lymph nodes were doing wrestling manoeuvres on my windpipe – hence the cough. What was causing the enlarged lymph nodes, however, was yet to be determined, so I underwent a surgical biopsy on March 11th, the first day of Leppard rehearsals for our Viva Las Vegas shows. Obviously, I didn’t make it to rehearsal that day, but it’s okay; I know the songs by now. My diagnosis was Hodgkin's Lymphoma and 6 months of chemotherapy is the prescribed treatment. I’m about 2 months in and feeling rather spiffy, all things considered. Hodgkin's has an over 80% cure rate, so by my reckoning, if you’re going to have a cancer, Hodgie’s is the one to have! The reason I’m sharing this with you is because, despite cancer and chemo, me and my new aerodynamic hairstyle (read: no hair) are going on tour this summer with the band and I don’t want anyone to be so shocked by my new look that they ask for a refund. Simple economics, really. My family, friends and bandmates have all been extremely supportive through this and I look forward to a summer full of shows with both Def Leppard in June/July and the debut of Last In Line this August." The USA based Northern Irish guitarist has a busy schedule this coming summer. Fresh from Def Leppard’s triumphant Las Vegas Residency, the band are set to play a series of festivals and headline shows across Europe and North America in June/July 2013. For all details go HERE In addition to performing with Def Leppard, August 2013 sees Vivian debut the reunited original Dio band under the name of Last In Line: 30 years after the recording of the legendary Dio albums Holy Diver, Last In Line and Scared Heart, and without trying to replace the singular sound that was Ronnie’s voice, the original band have started playing the songs they wrote and created together again. Joined by the passionate, powerful and unique voice of vocalist Andrew Freeman, Vivian Campbell, Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain and Claude Schnell have united under the name of their classic album, Last In Line, to perform and tour their original songs again. Last In Line are set to tour the UK in August 2013 with further dates worldwide to follow. 21. :goodone: Tom Petty put out Highway Companion in 2006 and I sure am glad he didn't stop after Hard Promises. Bob Dylan just released "Tempest", which easily ranks among his best work. Johnny Cash recorded his "American Recordings" albums from 1994 until 2002 just before he passed away. "The Man Comes Around" is one of the best songs he's ever wriiten and recorded...47 years into his career! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/63/Highway_Companion.jpg/220px-Highway_Companion.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a6/Bob_Dylan_-_Tempest.jpg/220px-Bob_Dylan_-_Tempest.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e0/AmericanIV.jpg/220px-AmericanIV.jpg
  22. I'll be there! It's my second time. I saw him at Yankees Stadium and it was fantastic. I killed myself for not seeing him sooner. 38 Songs at Saturday's show at Barclays and 25 of them were Beatles songs.
  23. I quite like the Power Windows framed poster... ...nice collection.
  24. Seeing Paul McCartney tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. I've been to thousands of concerts over the years and this my first time seeing him live. To say I am excited, is an understatement. Been on a McCartney marathon for a couple of weeks now. Loving the Wings Over America...great trip down memory lane! http://exclaim.ca/images/paul14.jpg
