  1. This tour was great for me. I got to spend another Rush show (and one of the best) with my daughter, got to meet a lot of Rush fans at the pre-show meet-up, got a picture from my daughters Make-A-Wish with Rush signed by the guys, and I got to see a friend that was working the tour. Even though I would have liked to see them more than once on this tour, I am very content with my Rush tour experience this year. Can't wait for the next tour!
  2. QUOTE (friendlyfloridian @ Oct 6 2010, 08:19 AM) QUOTE (johndyar @ Oct 5 2010, 10:14 AM) I had this signed at the Atlanta show for my Daughter. http://www.jd-photography.net/sam_rush_web.jpg I took a look at all her other photos. It was nice for the band to do that for her. May I ask what her condition is? She is doing good. She has been off treatment and cancer free for 2 years and 9 months. Thanks for asking!
  3. QUOTE (Janie @ Oct 5 2010, 11:22 AM) QUOTE (cygnify @ Oct 4 2010, 01:20 PM) Got this in the mail today. They didn't use the silver sharpie I sent, but I could care less. This is freakin' cool of them! I sent it to Atlanta for the 9/29 show. Got it back today (10/4) A great way to top off a weekend of seeing them (Tampa & West Palm) !! http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad352/cygnify/Autographs/RUSH.jpg Weird! I sent a silver Sharpie as well thinking that silver would show up better than black. I sent in a Silver Sharpie also but they signed in black. They must have a pretty good supply of Silver Sharpies!
  4. I had this signed at the Atlanta show for my Daughter. http://www.jd-photography.net/sam_rush_web.jpg
  5. I took my daughter to her first Rush show when she was 5. I started her on the Grateful Dead when she was 3 (or 4...I forget). She loves going to concerts. It turned into "our thing". We have A LOT of great memories from the concerts we attended together. She is 18 and in college now and we are going to the Atlanta show in September. It will be her 11th Rush show. Both of us are excited about seeing another show together.
  6. QUOTE (Tom Sawyer @ Aug 18 2010, 03:18 PM) I have been tracking and capture pictures from the internet on this tour like never before, have snagged some great pics from various shows. (copyright schmopyright, I'm not selling them) The RR show has some of the "best in show" I've seen yet at the Denver Post... enjoy!!! http://photos.denverpost.com/photogallerie...content-2564420 Those Denver Post shots are very good.
  7. In Entre Nous, Alex's fill right after Geddy sings "Drifting in our orbits To a brief eclipse". Very cool.
  8. QUOTE (Mara @ Aug 12 2010, 04:43 PM) Regular mail - US Post Office. I'm sure a prepaid overnight return envelope would be fine. The reason I don't recommend FedEx is because I think the individual on the crew who handles the mail drop just wants to make one stop. Can't blame him, really. No one would want to have to sort through all that and make trips to USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc., all in an unfamiliar town. Good point....but I bet the items are sent via the venues regular mail procedures. I don't think that anyone from the crew is even involved.
  9. I went mainly to see Rush open for Ted Nugent at the Akron Civic Theater in late 1975 (i think). Rush was supporting COS (they played The Necromancer!) and Ted was supporting his first solo album. Also went to see Van Halen open for Black Sabbath at the Richfield Coliseum. Both bands were very good but Van Halen was awesome.
  10. QUOTE (Docmilsap @ Jul 12 2010, 02:22 PM) I think there's a helluva lot more people with the same message in their book! But hey it's Neils autograph When my daughter got to meet Rush during her Make-A-Wish, she took her copy of Roadshow for Neil to sign. He signed it "To Sam, You can get back on!" which I thought was very appropriate because Far Cry is on of her favorite songs.
  11. QUOTE (Anthem @ Jul 7 2010, 05:52 PM) QUOTE (johndyar @ Jul 6 2010, 08:45 PM) I got mine today. T-Shirt & Water bottle??? I spoke to someone from Musictoday and he said the shirts are in but not the water bottles and that's what the hold-up is. He said the supplier keeps pushing the date back. Now they are saying mid-July.... Yes. I was surprised. The shirt is OK and the water bottle is nice.
  12. I am taking my daughter Sam to the Atlanta show. This will be about her 10th show. Started her out on the T4E tour when she was five. This time she is driving up from the University of Georgia and meeting me at the show. Time goes by to fast.
  13. Time Stand Still into Presto! Both of these songs are in my top ten! Marathon will be great to hear again. A great live song! The Counterparts choices are good but I really would love to hear Everyday Glory live. I really don't care what they play to tell the truth. I'll just be glad to be there having some great father-daughter time seeing the band we both love.
  14. My daughter Sam started going to Rush shows when she was 5. She is 18 now and this tour will be no different except for the fact that this time she will be driving from college to meet me at the show. Time goes by to quickly!
  15. We got 13th row (row N) in Orch 3 on Alex's side for Atlanta. I tried for about an hour and the best I ever got was row K.
