  1. QUOTE (gleamingalloyaircar81 @ Apr 18 2008, 02:57 PM) BROWNNOSE!!! Really though, thanks to all the admins and mods! My thoughts exactly! Yes, thank you mods, admins, server owners, your internet provider, and Dell (or HP, or whoever made the hardware ) Choose/the/Light, you're a TEACHER'S PET, aren't you! K
  2. QUOTE (Jaye @ Apr 18 2008, 05:02 PM)Show offs! Oh, wait...
  3. QUOTE (Janie @ Apr 12 2008, 07:16 AM)QUOTE (OriginalFan @ Apr 11 2008, 04:14 PM) QUOTE (Janie @ Apr 10 2008, 08:27 AM) Have you girls seen this picture yet? I grabbed it for the Alex factor but I know how some of you feel about that Geddy character. So... here you go! http://www.jeffburrows.ca/image/Gallery/JBShoot10.JPG Please tell me it's just the light shining on his hair, and not that Geddy's gray roots are showing... Am I in the minority here? I actually like the gray hairs. Part of the distinguished sexy older man image. I think he looks great. It's one of his better shots. If it was all natural gray, I'd agree wholeheartedly with you - Geddy's hair is still thick and wiry.) But... this is ROOTS! GRAY ROOTS! If he's going to cover it, then he needs to get down to the salon more often and NOT LET THIS HAPPEN! OMG... what if he's got extensions or something, and it's actually not thick and sexy any more underneath the coloring? GeddysMullet, can I post that one you showed me the other night, that I said looked like my ex? Kismet

Even though it's not true. GM, you need to post that other one! That'll give everyone something to drool over!

  6. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Apr 8 2008, 01:34 PM) A lot of people who did the bisexual thing in the drug-infested disco/glam age have reverted back to being straight. I know of many people who did this (and would NEVER admit to it). I am not speaking for myself since I was a kid during those times Uh huh...

  8. QUOTE (GedHead @ Mar 28 2008, 11:52 AM) I Hear The Beat Of An Anxious Heart I Feel The Heat...it's Time For Us To Start Time For Us To Start It's only a verse (not complete at that) but man I want to move to bohemia with Geddy
  9. Y'all are so funny! I just don't see it... Geddy is not hot. I love reading this thread, though, and I still think he's wonderful - charismatic, talented, wise... But not hot Not even when he was young and sexy could he ever have been considered handsome, IMO. He is still sexy and enormously appealing, but... not hot. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg64/Kismet00/Gedjpg.jpg Well, except for this one... http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg64/Kismet00/gap.jpg And this one... OK, so I started this thread stating that Geddy isn't hot, but in the course of writing it I do believe I've changed my mind!
  10. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Mar 23 2008, 09:35 PM) QUOTE (Jaye @ Mar 24 2008, 03:55 AM)Hmm, I wonder why Fridge still hasn't got a title - he's been here two years now, and I think he's, shall we say 'expressed himself' enough to have one. I've been trying to think of something, but mine so far aren't that great... but they could be a start... Something like, "I DO like Rush...really..." "Don't take offence, it's just his way" Or, going by his profile pic, "Highland Wanderer" Maybe someone who's better at this than me can kind of 'evolve' them, or think of something better. Yeah, thought that Fridge would've had one by now too. But maybe he's so multi-dimensional that it's hard for the mods/administrators to nail a good one for him. Of the one's you've mentioned, how about a variation?--> HighRIG Wanderer I think Fridge might like the title, "At least he's not a Weedgie!"
  11. QUOTE (GedHead @ Mar 19 2008, 12:42 PM) Hello ladies I am new here and just had to post how I think is. Love the pics Welcome! K
  12. And as for the original thread, I haven't seen this movie nor heard about it but, as another post mentioned, it does sound disturbing on some levels. I'll keep my eye open for it - always room for dialog! Kismet
  13. QUOTE (Grandtheftcow @ Mar 18 2008, 06:12 AM)As for the respect angle you're running with. I don't care. It doesn't matter to me what Johnny username of X message board thinks of me. You get what I put in and there's plenty of people who both like and hate me for the persona I project online. Grandtheftcow, you have so entirely missed the point of TRF that it would be in your best interest to slink away back to your own "hellhole," as you call it. We don't play games or try to project a persona to anyone. Respect is not an "angle" we're "running with," it's a value we try to live by. You're starting to sound like my teenage son who went through a very similar obnoxious self-centered stage that immediately preceeded his getting kicked out of the house...
  14. Yikes, I hope you guys are just joking around. Grandtheftcow, if you can amicably hang in here for a while, there's an excellent politics and religion sub forum (Sense O'Clock News) where such things are openly discussed. I think you'll find a great many people of a mind with you (regarding the fact that, as you mentioned, "Any disagreement with fundamentalist Christians more often than not is seen as an attack upon them and their faith") plus enough folks who don't agree, just to make it interesting! I can't find the link to the process for getting into Sense O'Clock News but I'm sure someone can find it for you if you're interested. I do recall there's a length of membership requirement, tho. However, Jack's right - there's a great deal of sensitivity to such topics in other sub-forums, and there has been a lot of pain and angst in the past so we try to be especially careful about religion everywhere else... I kind of hope this particular thread gets moved over to the S.O.N. forum so we can head off this stuff (like Jack already tried to do ) By the way, TRF has got some awesome and dedicated moderators and none of them act like "net nannys." We're all adults here, striving to respect one another and the integrity of the forum. I'm not a moderator, have no internet high tower, and am not being sarcastic, but as one forum member to another... Chill, OK? Kismet
  15. QUOTE (Janie @ Mar 17 2008, 03:05 PM) Pardon... coming through.... watch, no one will post after me. I don't know what the deal is but I am Queen Threadkiller around here. I dunno, Janie, I'm at the bottom of more than just a few threads... I wonder if there's some way to count them up? Then we could see who REALLY deserved the title of Queen Threadkiller!
  16. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Mar 9 2008, 04:55 PM) You talking about pics like THIS... http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o278/NecroBolt/Scan10012.jpg Just cuz YOU won't post them... doesn't mean that I won't.
  17. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg64/Kismet00/Gedjpg.jpg Hey, now, this might be my new favorite Geddy pic! mmmmmm!

  19. QUOTE (rushbass @ Feb 27 2008, 06:39 PM) QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Feb 27 2008, 06:35 PM) QUOTE (rushbass @ Feb 27 2008, 08:30 PM) I'd actually have to walk into a movie to be able to walk out of one... Hollywood has nothing worth me paying whatever it cost now to go to the movies... BTW, I haven't been to a movie theater since 1999... do you rent movies or watch them on tv? Don't rent movies... I have seen a few movies on television that have come out after 1999, but again, I don't rush out to catch a new movie when it is released. With all the remakes, lack of originality / fresh ideas, I just don't care to see what is being offered up. I can't stand to waste time in bad movies. Hollywood is turning out trite and uninspired stuff full of gratuitous violence and sex and TV isn't much better; there doesn't seem to be much to pull in viewers. I've been to a few movies in the past couple of years - DaVinci Code (interesting book, terrible movie), National Treasure (cute), Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (visually overwhelming but the music was awesome), and Pan's Labyrinth. If I'd known how Pan's Labyrinth was going to end I would have walked out on that one... as it was, I cried for an hour after leaving the theater.

QUOTE (Cygnalschick @ Feb 26 2008, 06:02 PM) QUOTE (OriginalFan @ Feb 23 2008, 05:28 PM) It was time for this one again http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg64/Kismet00/Geddy116.jpg I don't remember who originally posted this one, but thank you! I don't spend a lot of time drooling for GL but when I do, this is the one I think of. What a cute expression! You guys are great. Have a fabulous Saturday Night! Kismet His facial expression says, "Whatcha doin' snooping around in my wine cellar, huh??" I thought it was more an expression of, "hey, wanna see what I have?" Heck yeah! I'm looking for a particular Chilean Cabernet and I bet you're just the cutie to have it! Kismet
  21. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Feb 26 2008, 02:49 PM) I know that many of you would certainly go for it... Booze mixed with the intense euphoria of being in the presence of a Rush God. I'm sure many of you guys would never admit to it, which is certainly OK. Sheesh, as good as Alex looked back in the late 70's, early 80's I wouldn't have done it, but would have subconsciously considered it because I held him to such a high level...man, he was everything I wanted to be back when I was 19. Ah, the real reason for your original post is revealed.
  22. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Feb 23 2008, 05:01 PM)bruised and sullen stormclouds Weird. Just weird. First off, the answer is going to be You're f***ing weird, dude. Were you hoping to get off on peoples' answers? I've had enough wine this evening to tell you what I think of your f***ing fanfic, Gemini. But the forum software keeps bleeping me out... Kismet, (being uncharacteristically crass and unkind to a newbie...)

  24. Another endless day Silhouettes of grey Another glass of wine Drink with eyes that shine To days without that chill at morning Nights time out of mind Draw another goblet From the cask of '43 Crimson misty memory Hazy glimpse of me Give me back my wonder I've something more to give I guess it doesn't matter There's not much more to live Another foggy dawn The mountain almost gone Another doubtful fear The road is not so clear My soul grows ever weary And the end is ever near
  25. QUOTE (Edie)Oh we're all suddenly submissive females are we? Anyway, it doesn't mean that - it means that a man must learn to master himself. You wouldn't catch me thinking *cough* interesting thoughts at that point of the song. Oh dear me no...... Never . Really, you wouldn't. Now you know perfectly well it doesn't matter what the lyrics are intended to mean; it only matters how we interpret them! Alien Shore isn't about sex, and Animate isn't about sexual domination. But that can't stop me from daydreaming either, can it? Sometimes, in this crazy world that expects us women to be, do, and have it all, it would be nice to let go of it all and let a man be a MAN and, yes, um, "gently dominate." I am the furthest thing from being a submissive female, but it makes for a nice fantasy...
