Maybe they'll do mostly pre-synth era songs for the 2nd leg. Do you think that could be a possibility? I know for 2nd legs of past tours, the set has stayed pretty much the same, but you never know what Rush will do with their setlist.

Actually, it's usually quite the opposite. People will complain about the prices of gas, groceries and other similar services but will have no problem shelling out huge amounts of money to see their favorite bands and sporting events.

Bands who charge $100 or more already are mega multi millionaire superstars who have more money than they'll ever know what to do with and are just greedy. I'm actually glad the shows didn't do as well last year for Rush. It shows that the fans will only take so much as far as high ticket prices go.

It's sad that Geddy is stooping to this level.

Yes, that is true about state fairs. Another thing we must remember is that since 2007, Rush has toured the USA every year except 2009 and not everyone can afford the high ticket prices over and over again. We even skipped them last year for that very reason.

WTF?!?! But in 2010, they sold the MN. State Fair out which holds over 15,000! I just don't get it.

Yes, the synth era is my personal most favorite so it's pretty obvious why I'd love another album like that. :P

Nah. I love the band, but this symbol is not representative of my love for the group, it's just happy coincidence. :) I have many other ways to outlet my love for Rush and it's not via permanent tattoo. :P That's totally cool for sure. I'm just glad of what it represents to you as far as your wonderful family goes. :)

Again, I didn't say to do it for the ENTIRE album like they did in the 80's. Maybe 4-5 songs on an album with 10-11 songs. And if Rush actually did it, I bet most on here would completly love it despite everything that's been said. And doing it on just one album on a few songs isn't exactly starting up a new era or being a parody of themselves. The Main Monkey Business sure didn't sound like a parody to me.

Even though Clockwork Angels has a bit of orchestra on it, I would really love to hear another album that sounds like the 80's synth era ones. That's my personal most favorite era of Rush and it would be great to hear some more of it one final time. And the entire album doesn't have to be like that, but out 10-11 songs total, it would be great if 4 or 5 of them were heavy on synth.

Or maybe we could have a shoutbox instead? Some time back, I was on a different forum and on the main index page, there was a shoutbox which is an actual, live chatroom that is embedded in the site that everyone sees as soon as they go onto the site. I do enjoy The Black Album, but Countdown gets my vote.
