I love Sean Bean, but to my mind, Rutger Hauer was so damned good in that role I find myself wondering if there's any point. Bean will never have that menacing presence of Hauer IMO.

This is good - The fact that the surgeon thinks he got it all is encouraging, I know from my own point of view the wait for the pathology and histology results can be a torturous one, hopefully Carol's prognosis will be as good as mine was.

Can't resist this....... A man is dining in a fancy restaurant, and there is a gorgeous woman sitting at the next table. He has been eyeing her since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk with her. Suddenly she sneezes. Her glass eye projects from its socket towards the man. He reflexively reaches out, grabs it mid-flight, and hands it back. "Oh my, I am sooo sorry," the woman says as she pops her eye back in place. "Let me buy your dinner to make it up to you." They enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and afterwards the woman invites him to the theater followed by drinks. After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap ... and stay for breakfast the next morning. The next morning, she cooks a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed!! Everything had been incredible! "You know," he said, "you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet?" "No, she replies... "You just happened to catch my eye."

Just back from seeing The Irish Pink Floyd at An Grianan Theatre in Letterkenny. Really good instrumentation, but the vocals were a bit dodgy for the lead singer when he had to go low (Mother, and especially High Hopes). Very good light show and video screen (particularly the Wizard of Oz montage during On The Run). The set list wasn't as adventurous as The Machine one posted earlier, but these guys have potential, particularly as The Australian Pink Floyd are now playing larger venues. They played a 'Greatest Hits' set with nothing pre Dark Side Of The Moon - Shine On (all parts, slightly abridged intro) In The Flesh Money Mother High Hopes Take It Back Speak To Me / Breathe Wish You Were Here Another Brick Part 3 Dogs Pigs On The Wing Interval On The Run / Time / Breathe Reprise Young Lust Us And Them Brain Damage Eclipse Run Like Hell Encore Another Brick 1 / Happiest Days Of Our Lives / Another Brick 2 Comfortably Numb
