  1. Difficult. In no particular order - Soylent Green The Blues Brothers The Usual Suspects Monty Python's Life Of Brian Oh Brother Where Art Thou
  2. Rodrigo Y Gabriela - An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny 24/2/06 I've seen it with my own eyes, and I still find it hard to comprehend a drum solo can be played on two classical guitars. R&G are a Mexican couple who came over to Europe to busk about seven years ago after playing in a trash metal band as teens in Mexico City. They ended up settling in Dublin for about two years, and are huge in Ireland right now. Today, their new album became the first ever totally instrumental album to top the Irish album charts. Both are classical guitar virtuosos, playing their own style with Rodrigo concentrating on melody and Gabriela on what can only be called percussion/rhythm. The bulk of what they do is self composed, but snippets of Metallica, The White Stripes and others make their way into tunes, as well as a straight cover of Floyd's Wish You Were Here which the audience sang and a classical interpretation of Stairway To Heaven which makes Jimmy Page seem pedestrian. There's a video clip from last year's Oxegen Festival on their website Here (I'm way over on the left somewhere in the heaving masses). If you go to the music page, there's a few free mp3s, including their amalgam of Metallica's One and Dave Brubeck's Take 5 from the Live in Manchester and Dublin album. (One interesting thing, on that version, the crowd is muted during the Metallica bit and reacts to Take 5. Tonight, the crowd was mostly under 30, and went apeshit for the One segment). If you get the chance to see this crew live, take it!!!!!. http://www.rodgab.com/images/widepic_oxegen.jpg
  3. What's wrong with a kiss, boy? Hm? Why not start her off with a nice kiss? You don't have to go leaping straight for the clitoris like a bull at a gate. Give her a kiss, boy.
  4. Rodrigo Y Gabriela Letterkenny, Friday night.

  9. The Difference Between Men and Women - Haircuts Women's Version: Woman 2: Oh! You got a haircut! That's so cute! Woman 1: Do you think so? I wasn't sure when she gave me the mirror. I mean, you don't think it's too fluffy looking? Woman 2: Oh Gosh no! No, it's perfect. I'd love to get my hair cut like that, but I think my face is too wide. I'm pretty much stuck with this stuff, I'm afraid. Woman 1: Are you serious? I think your face is adorable. And you could easily get one of those layer cuts--that would look so cute I think. I was actually going to do that except that I was afraid it would accent my long neck. Woman 2: Oh--that's funny! I would love to have your neck! Anything to take attention away from this two-by-four I have for a shoulder line. Woman 1: Are you kidding? I know girls that would love to have your shoulders. Everything drapes so well on you. I mean, look at my arms--see how short they are? If I had your shoulders I could get clothes to fit me so much easier. Men's Version: Man 2: Haircut? Man 1: Yeah

  11. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Feb 13 2006, 11:38 PM) Speaking of British TV... do you fellows know about a comedy show that ran for a few seasons called "The Royle Family"? When I was visiting my in-laws in Scotland, they showed me some episodes on DVD. Funny show! Here you go Geddyrulz - The Royle Family
  12. Thanks Ricky I hate to be a gossipmonger, but shocking facts have emerged about the sale of human sperm in everyone's favourite town - Springfield It emerged a local nuclear plant worker with three children and a 'blue rinse' wife has begun selling the sperm of the owner of the local "Kwik-E-Mart' to women seeking a donor who embodies the principles of stamina, effort and dedication. However, it's emerged that the sperm being sold is actually that of local man Barney Rebe... sorry, Gumble, as the retail manager himself is no longer able to 'come' up with the goods. The Springfield Enquirer is leading with the shock headline - A Pair's Vice Scam - Apu is Sterile!!!!
  13. QUOTE (rickyrob @ Feb 15 2006, 08:16 AM) I should add that it isn't a line from a song you will find it written in an album or on a CD insert ...that's all I'm saying! I've been neglecting this big time recently, busy with other stuff (actually trying to perfect a Thai accent, but more about that anon!!). No doubt this was inspired by Pags' recent thread in RS about structures spanning rivers and ravines, a thread that once was consumed by eager beavers, but unfortunately now theres no-one at the bridge thread!!!!.

  17. QUOTE (dweezil @ Feb 1 2006, 05:31 PM) http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/images/396x222/daffyd2.jpg Committed 'homosexualist' Daffyd lives in the Welsh town of Llanddewi Brefi. Proud to be gay, Daffyd flaunts his sexuality in a variety of rubber outfits, to the villagers' complete indifference. He refuses to accept he's not the only 'gayer' in the village, and is outraged when fellow gays trespass on his patch. http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/littlebritain/images/gallery/daffyd.jpg A little bit rude, but funny as hell
