  1. I've seen Rush so many times that I am glad to see that it's something different. The CA part of the show is great. I am thinking of catching another show (maybe Boston) so I can enjoy it a little more rather than waiting to see what's going to happen next like I did in Manchester. The mostly 80s setlist.. Brilliant! In time there will be no more Rush and we will look back at our live experiences with them and be glad that they did something special. Let's appreciate it now before the chance is lost.
  2. QUOTE (bmorechowder @ Sep 10 2012, 12:48 AM) SPOILERS: I haven't posted here in some time but tonight's show got me to come back and check the reactions. As expected there's a bunch of boo hooing that they didn't play what YOU wanted. I couldn't be more stoked personally. When the words Grand Designs came out of Ged's mouth my jaw dropped and then right into Middletown Dreams!? It was godly. Not to mention Alex ripped one of the best solos of his career in The Analog Kid tonight. Was anyone else scraping their face up off the floor after that? The new material is great live as well especially The Wreckers and The Garden. Some near moments during those two for sure. Aside from that stuff, it was my 8 year old son's first concert and he says to me during the first set "Dad, this is the best thing we've ever done." The boys are still rocking it and keeping it fresh. Be thankful. I am every tour. I was at the Manchester show and I like Setlist B better but Manhattan Project was really good. I would have loved Middletown Dreams. That's my favourite song on PW. I'm glad they are mixing it up. I might try to catch another show and hope for setlist B so I can have seen both Grand Designs was great. I like the set lists.
  3. I'm really just immersing myself in CA because I know they will be playing a ton of it. 4.5 hours to go.
  4. Getting this thread back on topic a bit.. I think any guy who is with a girl who likes Rush is pretty damn lucky. My "girlfriend in a coma" is now my "wife in a coma" and she was so mad I went to see Rush w/o her in the past. She is going tonight. OP, if you can't meet a Rush girl at the show, meet a girl you do like and share the music and why you feel so passionate about it and make her a Rush girl. I've been able to do that a few times in the past. I was lucky to randomly find one this time.
  5. QUOTE (Alexmai @ Sep 6 2012, 09:00 AM) I dream about another instrumental medley... all from COS!!! That's a weird dream. You might want to try the bottled water or something.
  6. I met Flava Flav.. he's actually a pretty down to earth guy. He appeared at my friend's nightclub and his rider was mostly water, beer and cheeseburgers. He went glow bowling the night before his appearance and mingled with people in the crowd. He just knows how to sell hype. It's not my thing but when he turns it off he's just a laid back guy. I hope he's part of the video.
  7. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 23 2012, 03:18 PM) QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Aug 23 2012, 02:43 PM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ Aug 23 2012, 02:42 PM) QUOTE (sb2112 @ Aug 23 2012, 02:38 PM) It's kind of amazing there's even people wondering about the next tour when this one hasn't started yet. Yes, Yes it is amazing! Almost as amazing as RUSH and Spiderman! Would it be cool if they had special guests sing the songs that Geddy can't sing from the past? I like Geddy singing his own songs but I'll play along. They must be great singers with ultra high voices as: Jon Anderson (Yes) Robert Plant (Led Zepplin) Cedric Bixler-Zavala (Mars Volta) Besides the above I don't know who else would do them Justice. And these guys might not be able to handle it. Vedric Bixler-Zavala might. He's young and sing really damn high but I would prefer to have Geedy singing his own damn songs if I had a choice. This sounds like a good thread you should start one. Expect Hell!!! I don't know his name and I would never want anyone else to sing.. but the guy from Coheed and Cambria.
  8. I know they have never played Nocturne live and probably means they never will but that's one I'd love to see as one of the "surprises". I think the "guessed list" so far is pretty realistic. I'm going opening night and part of me is glad there is no spoiler list and then there is the curiosity that is killing me.
  9. scalper prices are starting to drop. still nothing on ticketbasterd. i'm holding out until the scalpers start to crumble.. which will be tomorrow :)
  10. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Sep 15 2010, 09:16 AM) From where I was sitting, I wasn't sure he was having problems or not. It seemed like it was another joke for the sake of entertaining the audience. But when he comes back on stage, given where I was sitting (way up there in the balcony), I couldn't tell if it was all real or not. They were so smooth at handling it I considered that it might have been staged to build tension.
  11. QUOTE (okbyme @ Sep 14 2010, 11:33 AM) Hi, i will be seeing the show in boston tonight. I assume there is no opening band.. What time will take the stage? thx in advance The tickets are for 7:30 so I would figure that would be a good time to be in your seat.
  12. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Jun 28 2010, 02:31 PM) It's just that the first set is INCREDIBLY boring. After Time Stand Still, I'll be sitting on my ass half asleep waiting for BU2B to begin. When I first read this I was like.. that's pretty cynical.. but then I went and re-read the first set and I have to say it's pretty spot on. As was previously mentioned the #1 wish of Camera Eye is there but nothing else really makes me go,"WOW!" Hopefully this spoiler is inaccurate.
  13. QUOTE (2112Starman @ Sep 17 2009, 11:05 PM) Well, what do you think the darkest Rush album is? To me, it's a hard tie between 2112 and P/G. I'm not really sure what the point is to answer the question when the first poster stole my answer.. :/

  15. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ Apr 13 2005, 01:05 PM) QUOTE (Digital Man @ Apr 13 2005, 03:56 PM) 1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down. That is very important and has needed to be said for a long, long, long time I always say this... If you put your bare ass down on something without looking first, you deserve whatever you get.
