  1. So bring me the blood and red wine for the ones to succeed them For they are men and gods - and they will die too. True, the boys are merely mortal men and will pass away, however the music will live on until the Earth is either destroyed or our sun dies. BTW...as our sun ages and begins to die it will become a red giant where it will expand and reduce all life on earth to dust & ashes. So in the end, nothing really matters, anyone can see...nothing really matters...to meeeeeeee! Hahahaha! You are on fire like the Earth one day! Now you are laying down some QUEEN! You know your "Astronomy" buddy! I thought the sun would burn out and the planet would turn into a permanent ICE CUBE. RED GIANT sounds like a killer name for a prog band! Thanks! LOL! Oh and yes, I quoted "Astronomy" as homage to Blue Oyster Cult!! After becoming a red giant the sun will eventually burn itself out to a white dwarf...that's where our charred husks will become ice blocks...eventually it will become a black dwarf which is, oddly enough also a Norwegian black metal band made up of altitude-challenged members. Midgets & corpse paint = sorta awesome.

I sneak in some Maiden lyrics and that's all it gets me?!?!

  5. I think Earl meant in 2023 when she's 14. My bad. I'm a rush fan but not a "know when the drummers daughter was born" rush fan I guess. Then you're not a REAL fan.
  6. Yes! They must die. Move over first then die.
  7. Peart is probably in Canada hiding out from his family, slamming Macallan and choking down pall mall's. Alex is probably two thirds of the way into a joint & playing the blues. Geddy is sipping a fine wine plotting his takeover.
  8. That's awesome. Great pics. Lee Lifeson...or as Peart calls them: Who?
  9. I'd toss a cheeseburger down her throat and tap that sweet, sweet ass. After, of course, we sipped sophisticated aperitifs where we discussed Stoic philosophy & our favorite Shakespeare sonnets to make sure we were emotionally compatible.

  11. Headlong Flight the number of the Beast! Headlong Flight the one for you and me! Sincerely, Nicko "nofuckingwayinhellmyreallastnameis" McBrain.
  12. I love to cook. But...as I was scanning the thread list I thought this thread was titled: Who Loves to Cock?
  13. And BTW...if you go to a party with a security guard... you're a doink. Don't know what "doink" means exactly but it's the word that sounds like a guy that takes a security guard to a party.
  14. Love him or hate him, or somewhere in between, you gotta give him credit for making things interesting. who would hate him? We've had plenty of people hate him on here. Joes mechanic was one. Got dissed by Neil at a party. I vaguely remember that. What was the story behind it? He somehow knew someone famous enough to be at a party with Neil and tagged along I believe. Went up to Neil and got intercepted by mosbach and threw a tantrum there and here I believe. Moral of that story is: don't try to engage The Peart unless vetted by Mosbach.
  15. If HL was the sonic perfection of MP along with Neil's tama kit sound then hell yes.
  16. Damn it I said in another thread and mean it: Peart has to do a solo poetry / drum tour. Dude has all the chops needed: drums, words and he has dulcet tones for speaking. I'm sure he has a black turtleneck somewhere. Poetry drums. Poe-Drum! So let it be written. So let it be drum.
  17. Great.. replace one ham-fisted drummer for another. How about someone with more finesse? The f**k son? Peart's playing the last years had plenty of finesse. Besides, The Lee/Lifeson Experience's music doesn't require the finesse of Philly Jo Jones or Joe Morello. Play them things boy! Whoop em like a mule!
  18. Empire. Vader is really the only interesting & compelling character in the whole Saga.
  19. I LOVE Clockwork and to me I think it's Neil's drumming that drives it to that next level. I've described his work here as "vibrant"...it's his most powerful full album effort since I don't know when. Maybe HYF. On the albums I generally dislike, Presto & RTB, Peart is playing it safe and and at a point almost became unwilling to really fill up space. Not on Clockwork. I think Ged's playing is great, making superb note choices and his singing is very good. Al is Al and if I had any complaint about latter day Rush (since VT I think...maybe earlier) it is Alex's lack of signature solos but his efforts here are great I think. I think it's top 5 Rush album for me. An amazing piece of work at their stage of the game...or any stage really.
  20. Blaze is more like cold shite. One vote isn't even worthy of his input into the Maiden Canon. It's quite embarrassing to be honest. Even the art work on those two records suck Eddie's decomposed asshole. So, just reading between the lines here, I think that's a "no" from Earl on Blayze.
  21. f**k that! I want to see Peart do a one man drum / poetry show. Don't need no damn guitars. Lee & Lifeson have done nothing but hold him back all these years. #freepeart!
  22. The beauty of real life is that message board bullshït matters not a tit or jottle. If you don't think Ged/Al aren't self assured and driven enough to do as they please with their music then you're a FOOL who is concerned with the irrelevant Facebook horseshït that rubes think is important. I was enjoying busting Peart's chops for being a diva but you are draining the fun out of it. Alas.
  23. Ron2112 bringing the noize and bringing the funk!! Sincerely, George Clinton
  24. It would have been interesting too see what would have happened if management told him "no motorcycling" for safety, insurance reasons, wherever. I wonder if he would have done the past few tours. Honestly, biking around the backwoods of Indiana is one thing. Doing that in South America is another...that coulda been bad for lots of reasons: much more remote, political problems, etc.
  25. I can't imagine Howard trying that with Neil. The guys are grown ups and nobody would try and talk him out of something he loves. He was careful and safe but when he drove in wet boots for days and got a fungus on his feet, he should have stopped and said I'll fly for a few days while I heal. Not giving his body a break was stupid Yep. That was pretty dumb if for no other reason he was only hurting himself. Nonsensical for such a (seeming) sense loving person.
